I honestly don't know how anyone on Earth could read the fourth line of your post and quibble with it. I think people need to face some harsh realities and reconsider the kind of person they want to be. It is inconceivable to study the policies and come up with any other response. Anyone who is like "I support Trump (or honestly the current Republican agenda) but I am definitely not a bigot" - man, you are hopelessly lost. Pull your head out of the sand.
Trump isn't the issue. He is a symptom, not a cause. I never really got on board with the whole "we just need to get rid of Trump" or "we need to vote him out and revert back to the mean." He is just the big, dumb, fat, wet, orange idiot who forgot to put the camouflage on the rhetoric.
This is a poor country with a poor backbone. There isn't anything good to revert to. It was founded on poor values, it has been poor in values for most of its existence. Its wealth is a result of resources, all of which are stolen and the cultivation of which is mostly the result of exploitation.
We can't make it great again because it has always been ****. We can't accept resetting to a baseline because the baseline is crap. Sure, the race to bottom stated accelerating in the early 80s but this was always our fate.
Anyone who is living through the last few years and support the county's current trajectory is not someone I can really find any common ground with. It is suicidal.
There has literally never been a time in this country post-colonization where it has been good to be anything besides a white male. How ****** up is that? Like how ****** is it for any white male to comprehend that and think that it is okay and we need to return to anything that perpetuates that?
I feel like since I stirred the pot I owed a real response.
But I am not going to wade in these waters again. I am sadly more aware of the the numbers of morally corrupt people I am surrounded by. To my own disappointment, I am ignoring it.

"Poor Country" - We are an EXTREMELY wealthy Country and have afforded our citizens a quality of life that has been UNPRECEDENTED in the history of mankind.
"Poor Backbone" - Our Country is known for its spirit and spunk and ability to overcome adversity.
"Founded on Poor Values" - Democracy, freedom, the ability to earn a living, and out opportunity to chase the American Dream has provided more success stories than you can count. Stop dwelling on the handful of negative situations . America as a country is UNRIVALED for their values.
"Stolen Resources and Exploitation" - Capitalism has helped create greed, yes, but has also cultivated a system that has provided opportunities that are still UNRIVALED by any country in the history of mankind.
Surrounded by the "Morally Corrupt" - Change they people you are associating with. A good start would be making sure that YOU have POSITIVE interactions with others. And before you make a determination about someone , the morals of someone else, make sure you are accurate and know what you are really sensing and that you yourself are responsible morally.
You seem to be VERY pessimistic about not only your country, but by the people in it.
You are exuding a GREAT deal of negativity.
Last night for example, you insinuate that I am a racist - which was not only extremely RUDE, but also totally unfounded.
And then again tonight, you provoke a series of people.
By always looking for a fight and assuming the worst in others and creating negative interactions, you are setting yourself up for morose expediences.
We are here to have fun - and be playful - Not to name call and go to the worst conclusions about people.
