i probably shouldnt talk after i clipped birds wings with the kobe pick

but im feeling pretty pretty damn good about my team after the dale davis pick...87-88 bird(64) is my only starter on all 5 teams with a d under 70...rebounding is really good despite not having a true boardlord and ill have 70%+ ast on the court at all times

By the way, kinoa won Season 1 with Westbrook as backup PG. I won't even be playing him as much as kinoa did, no more than 13 minutes per game

Sure, which is a fine amount of minutes to play Westbrook in this league.

But personally I wouldn't see the need to draft someone in the 5th round who is only playing 13 minutes a game.

You are right that kinoa1 won and drafted him. But he drafted him at #261, not #120.

I needed the boards. I wanted a board advantage. Westbrook gives me the defensive boards to be able to play someone like Favors at backup C if I have to. Think about the possible five season Ewing backups from this point on. See any with enough DReb%, defense and usage? Yeah, me neither. Silas just went.

For 48 minutes on every team, I no longer have to worry about rebounds or passing at all.

It's like that old proverb.....

"13 minutes isn't a lot, unless you need 13 minutes. Then 13 minutes is a lifetime."

i was all set to take bradley beal with paul pierce as a backup plan...but i couldnt shake kobe...he left me with one huge concern(usg+efg) but eliminated so many other concerns like defense, ftas, and most importantly how the usg would shake out...with beal/pierce i was concerned with having buck or even kidd(yikes) as my 3rd highest usg player on the court...i felt like i would need more usg at center and that would most likely come with poor defense...with kobe, im perfectly fine with adding a lower usg player like dale davis at center...it just felt like a better overall fit

pretty excited to see what my one d heavy team can do...rolling out 90/90/90/80/84 as starters for that squad

That all makes sense. The question is whether that's worth the opportunity cost of not getting to pick a player who plays more at this spot, then taking Westbrook anyway in 48 picks. But I can see why you wouldn't want to take the risk of him not being there. I have the same issue trying to find a backup for MJ; I'm probably going to have to draft 2-3 guys just to back him up for 10 mpg across five leagues. Westbrook is probably the only single guy you have take that would cover backing up Lebron.

Now, all that being said - still doesn't explain, if you were so concerned about rebounding advantage, why you picked Cheeks.

Wouldn't say I'm "so concerned," just that I wanted to make sure I didn't have to draft crappy defense just for the d-boards. With LeBron and Westbrook, both units are covered. Favors, Capela and Ewing certainly take care of o-boards

I’m surprised he wasn’t valued higher. He’s got a couple of legit seasons.

I was hoping to grab Russ at the start of the 7th.

One of me takeaway’s from season one is that stats aren't "covered" like they are in a cap league. I feel like it is better trying to get the most of everything without compromising efficiency too much in this format.

We will see though. Good luck!
