kelly is right....it IS draft etiquette to never mention any player who has not yet been picked, but the Babe has been referred to so many times already, I think it may be an exception. I'm just remembering back to DEAL 1. I think I referred to the person who won the #1 pick as "winning the Babe Ruth sweepstakes". Now, here we are, 20 seasons into this great franchise, and we have kelly1 making derogatory joking statements about him, and his ADP seems to be getting lower and lower. Heck, I saw his stats from whoever had him last season, and even I was shocked how pedestrian they were.

I gotta say, I think there is something inherently WRONG with this SIM if the acknowledged "GOAT" in baseball by nearly EVERY historian and SABRmatician is not picked in the top 5 of this draft! It's BLASPHEMY!!!

OK, I have decided to pull the trigger on this offer, since it basically suits my hourly lifestyle better and I might not have to make as many proxy picks....

kelly1 and I are SWAPPING DRAFT SPOTS FOR THE ENTIRE DRAFT!!! I will pick 19th in round 1, and kelly1 will pick 10th. kelly1 will change the draft seedings and confirm, probably Sunday.

And now we hurry up and wait at pick nine, to see who shows up first....Navy2002, or TulsaG. Hopefully ONE OF EM does!

Confirmed, sort of. Yes, I agreed to trade my pick positions for the entire draft to amerk starting with pick #19. But amerk's pick positions started with pick #14 in the first round, not #10. So we will leave NotOmarMinay where he is. at pick #10 and I will take amerk's pick positions for the entire draft starting with pick #14.

I am here but I was so far down the list I was not sure it mattered.

OK, here's the plan.

Navy2002 is up but since he hasn't responded to sitemail in two days, he will have until 5:00 PM EDT today to make that pick. If he does make the pick by then, we will move on. If he does not, we will move down the wait list to TulsaG, who has acknowledged that he is ready to go.

Beyond that I've heard back from everyone, so we are ready to roll. Which means....we will be ON the Clock for whatever remains of Round 1 starting tomorrow.
