Tang, have you even watched the whole video that gives context to the encounter? The initial confrontation happened because Rittenhouse extinguished a fire that was set in a dumpster that was being pushed by protesters towards a police squad car. The mob of protesters turned on Rittenhouse and started chasing him due to this, led by first victim and convicted child rapist Rosenbaum who repeatedly harassed Rittenhouse and lunged for his weapon with an angry mob in hot pursuit.

Doesnt sound like a man who "crossed state lines" (driving whole 20 miles!) to commit murder. Sounds like a scared person defnding himself from an angry and violent mob. Also, worth mentioning that before this incident Rittenhouse was tending to other protesters injuries (apparently he has some background in first aid, CPR or something).

If I was 17, I sure as hell would not have put myself in that position. But it's just garbage to flatout assert this kid was looking to murder people. More likely , he was an idealist trying to keep order, prevent wanton destruction - basically doing what the police should've been doing. You defund and weaken the police, you get more Kyle Rittenhouses...or you live with violence, anarchy, and chaos.

Much of the above should not be seen as partisan. But it will be.

I agree that it was unjustified use of lethal force. But I do think that the fact that the guy apparently withstood two taser discharges without going down is more an argument for lethal force, not against it. I think we pretty much agree on this. The shooter seems to clearly have had an unnecessary level of fear, likely driven by racial bias. Hopefully he is removed from any situations where he has to make the same kind of decisions again in the future.
When I watched the video it looked to me that Blake was stumbling and walking kind of gingerly. I did not no he was tased. It seems to me he was less dangerous because he was in a weakened state. He did not seem aggressive or strong. He looked weakened by the taser less potentially dangerous. Yo me the tasering already did have an effect.

You could be right about the kid’s motives. Such a shame you only have empathy for a white kid with a gun.
Nobody except a few disparate people but no one in any political structure wants to abolish police.

defund police is a bad term.
I don’t hear it used much anymore except by trumpers exploiting it.

the people committing violence were a few.
they are not protesters.

a white guy with a rifle at a protest is a threat.

why don’t you ever devote any intellectual energy to root causes.

I'm not that interested in the 17 yr. old. He's 17!! His views are in flux. He's 17!!

I want to know about his PARENTS!!
I want to know about THEIR ideology.

WHO taught the young dummy that liberalism is evil??
WHO taught the young MURDERER that it is OK to walk about packing an AK - 47 and acting like a self-appointed Dirty "Kylie" to vigilante the streets of some other State's city??
WHO taught this young cretin that LOSERS and POSERS and BIG MOUTH LIARS like Donald J. Trump are to be looked up to??

The ONLY people I feel more sorry for than the shooter and his victims and the people of Kenosha Wisconsin is all the Trump kids, except for Ivanka.
They were just shown to be (in front of the WHOLE world), in their Father's eyes, as second class kids who's worth is beyond dim in comparison with the Golden Girl who LOVES Daddy (and his lap!) so much!!

Hey wise man maybe it is about shooting a guy 7 times in the back who was not armed and was a foot from his 3 kids and that made it even more unlikely that he posed a danger necessitating 7 shots not to mention 3 cops with guns vs a guy just tasered twice and not at that time armed.

maybe that, genius?
Do you even recognize that you're making his point for him?

I'm not fully up to date, so let's just assume everything both of you said is true. Police are in the process of trying to apprehend an individual. Individual isn't cooperating, is trying to get into his car. The police report says he claimed to have a weapon in the vehicle. They tase him twice and he's still up and trying to get into the vehicle, where he may have a weapon. If the taser isn't working, what's the next step?

Look, if they really thought he had a knife, they don't have to shoot him. Just back up a few steps and if he does show up with a knife you have plenty of time to react AFTER you see it. But the argument that non-lethal force failed to contain the problem is an argument FOR using lethal force, not against it.
dino never really thinks. He just posts and posts and posts. All day and all night, posting nothing that really makes sense. That's the way it was before his banning, and apparently still is now. The guy needs a new hobby (along with a life and probably some professional help).

Anyone notice how core's posting started just about when dino returned, and now that core seems to have disappeared, how much dino is posting. Sure makes me wonder about the two being the same. The total BS core was posting certainly reminds me of dino's old stuff. Even the redlining had started. Just saying.

Such a tremendous point.
the conservatives love to blame all crime on upbringing.
i say look at all the racists brought up in the conservative families. Look at that upbringing without a poverty factor.

I have not seen the video where Rittenhouse extinguished the fire. The furthest back video I have seen is where the unarmed protester was chasing him.

If he was only there to tend to injuries and be a saint, why the **** would he have a gun with him? This person isn't innocent; in fact, he will likely be found guilty of murdering two people. And even if the first one was justified (it depends on what happened beforehand), the second one absolutely was not.

He was not "there to keep order". He was there to kill. That's why he brought an AR. That's why he was quick on the trigger. That's why he just walked away after it happened.

Oh, and it's ******* ridiculous that you blame this on "defunding the police". Kenosha didn't defund the police. The police is on the side of the terrorist. Yeah, I'd say that's partisan.

Bringing up the fact that the first victim (who is ******* dead right now) is a pedophile is completely irrelevant considering you have no evidence that Rittenhouse knew this at the time. It's literally just brought up to victim blame as if he had it coming.

Pretty sue a Trump supporter/defender NEVER said that in these Forums, but I know for sure a Trump hater did.
Once again, don't let facts get in the way of your BS.

Guitarguy has repeatedly defended a killer charged with first degree murder.

Maybe you have him blocked? idk.
