Tang, have you even watched the whole video that gives context to the encounter? The initial confrontation happened because Rittenhouse extinguished a fire that was set in a dumpster that was being pushed by protesters towards a police squad car. The mob of protesters turned on Rittenhouse and started chasing him due to this, led by first victim and convicted child rapist Rosenbaum who repeatedly harassed Rittenhouse and lunged for his weapon with an angry mob in hot pursuit.
Doesnt sound like a man who "crossed state lines" (driving whole 20 miles!) to commit murder. Sounds like a scared person defnding himself from an angry and violent mob. Also, worth mentioning that before this incident Rittenhouse was tending to other protesters injuries (apparently he has some background in first aid, CPR or something).
If I was 17, I sure as hell would not have put myself in that position. But it's just garbage to flatout assert this kid was looking to murder people. More likely , he was an idealist trying to keep order, prevent wanton destruction - basically doing what the police should've been doing. You defund and weaken the police, you get more Kyle Rittenhouses...or you live with violence, anarchy, and chaos.
Much of the above should not be seen as partisan. But it will be.
I have not seen the video where Rittenhouse extinguished the fire. The furthest back video I have seen is where the unarmed protester was chasing him.
If he was only there to tend to injuries and be a saint, why the **** would he have a gun with him? This person isn't innocent; in fact, he will likely be found guilty of murdering two people. And even if the first one was justified (it depends on what happened beforehand), the second one absolutely was not.
He was not "there to keep order". He was there to kill. That's why he brought an AR. That's why he was quick on the trigger. That's why he just walked away after it happened.
Oh, and it's ******* ridiculous that you blame this on "defunding the police". Kenosha didn't defund the police. The police is on the side of the terrorist. Yeah, I'd say that's partisan.
