When we have a new administration of progressive justice minded people the feeling of hopelessness leading to violent outbreaks and clashes with police will dissipate just like it did 2008 - 2016.

Just because someone was charged with first degree murder doesn't mean they should have been. Rather than framing it as an issue of me defending a 1st degree murderer, one could say it's me questioning if the 1st degree murder charge is warranted. Even the NY Times has admitted he was acting in self-defense, so I am going to say No. It was probably politically motivated. Gotta charge the evil white guy Trump supporter blah blah blah.

It's more than property, it's a life's work up in flames. Real it is, however. Rittenhouse, according to his attornies at least, was specifically asked by a business owner to help protect his property after numerous cars were torched on a lot near his. It's a tragedy all around. But where are the police, the national guard etc? Citizens should not feel everything they own will be looted and destroyed without extra-governmental help.

I'm going to stop you right there. The ONLY person on these forums who has defended burning private property is guitargu coreander. I agree that police aren't doing a good job stopping property destruction; in fact, if you've paid any attention to my positions around here since June, I've argued repeatedly that police should NOT be brutalizing and tear-gassing protesters and should instead be dedicated to defending property. Curfews are counter-intuitive. Charging at protesters (who are not doing anything wrong) on the street is counter-intuitive. You want to know why they aren't defending property? It's good optics for them. They want the chaos because it increases the fear in pea-brains like you who then call for more police action generally. They can't be failing because they're fundamentally bad at their jobs and need to be reformed. No, it's because there isn't enough of them!

Tangy already referred to this, but I distinctly remember Mitch (weasel) McConnell stating VERY emphatically that he viewed his job as the Senate Majority leader to stop/oppose EVERYTHING our newly elected POTUS attempted to do for OUR Country. Essentially, attempting to ensure our newly elected POTUS (and thus OUR Country) FAILED (at leadership!). I call that wat is is/was! TREASON.

And ever since I have attempted to point out to ANYONE that the Republican Party has become, IS a Facist cult (before you attack me you might want to look the dictionary MEANING of facism up!!) that I will NEVER support in it's present incarnation.......... for ANYTHING!

American History backs my conclusion of the INCORRECT Governing principles of Republicans regarding the Majority of time that THEY Governed here in the U.S. it was/IS a colossal failure.........particularly on two fronts.
