in all seriousness: I was torn between the same two as well... and stuggled pulling the trigger

I had assembled a pretty healthy list going into my second round pick -
- Olodipo and Butler were the only remaining options for my 3rd...

I really should have gone Tim Duncan right there in the third though

no you don't. but some people do as a courtesy to those skipped. which, coupled with indecision, is why CMAC waited until 11:30 to pick. That just about sums up Cmac, courtesy and indecision. If the person right before you in the draft order picks, then you can pick immediately. just like in any draft. that's how we get ahead. at this point all owners know.
1) that the draft has started cause they've already made a first round pick (which is why the first round isn't on the clock)
2) They know their time slot
3) they know to send proxies if they can't be at a computer.
4) and if they've seen Karate kid, they know mercy is for the weak.

FYI pex I am the 9th drawf. The 8th drawf if sucky which is how I am putting this team together

I thought the 9th dwarf was Horny. Actually, the 7 dwarfs original names were supposed to be... Burpy, Deafy, Jumpy, Lazy, Puffy, Stuffy, and Wheezy.

i am sorry to disagree but if there are people who have not picked in front of you then you must wait for your time slot. yes the first round is off the clock but the other rounds are not.

OK sorry guys, got home late from work. Here's the deal, I am going to award Mike Conley to samyork. I'm assuming he wants him, so he gets him.
albiband0 lives in Italy and the time zones are quite a bit different. I have encouraged him to send proxy lists, but if he doesn't, the draft continues. woelke can make his pick, and then booda can make his pick and on we go OFF the clock tonight (meaning no skipped picks) until morning. albiband0 can make his catch up pick anytime.

While on the clock during the day, the draft continues and owners can make their pick as soon as the person in the time slot right before them picks, because it's now their turn regardless of what time it is. If the person in the time slot right before them has not picked, then they have to wait for their time slot because it's not their turn yet until their time slot. Otherwise, we march on making as quick a draft as possible. And draft slots are only 30 min apart instead of an hour. Otherwise the drafts drag on. Welcome to the heartless world of smokey and amerk. They hate long drafts. But if there's still some confusion, we can get a ruling from the commish...

We also don't skip picks when we're off the clock overnight. But the draft picks still continue overnight as long as people are picking in order.
