Wow-- what the hell do you do with a guy who can pitch 350-400 innings of slightly better than league average ball (career ERA = 4.15 in Fargo (AL))? On a contender he's typically be your worst or second-worst pitcher, so I'm not sure how you get him all 400 of your lowest leverage innings without accidentally getting him in over his head in high-leverage situations. OTOH he's going to be too expensive for a team trying to get to 60 wins, even though he'd be a dream for them if affordable.
Maybe, if I'm a contender, I sign him and try to run 10 or even 9 pitchers, and make my position players better and deeper...
