Does anyone know the # of people in each world/Division?
I'm thinking D2 or D3.

Bumped a world population thread for you. It's a little out of date but should give you a rough idea.

Knight has the largest populations of the worlds I play in. You can find competitive conferences anywhere I think, if that’s what you’re looking for.

The populations are actually pretty decent right now considering how much they fell off after 3.0 was released. I think at the low point, it was common to see D2/D3 populations in the 50ish range (even in the 40s actually.. yikes!) But now the D2 populations are in the 80-95 range and D3 populations are a bit less.

So yeah, c'mon on back now, ya hear

Yup, COVID saved this game.

If you qualify for D1 in Tark, and if there are any openings in the MEAC, come join us. It's a really cool conference, and amazingly ranked #1 of all conferences in Division 1, with three teams in the top 10 - Delaware State (me), Florida A&M and Morgan State. We may not have any openings though. Season ends at 2AM.

Oh yeah COVID probably did help. Until they fix or change the recruiting structure I am going to pass on D1 moving forward. D2/D3 has some appeal since the 2nd cycle is not a complete waste of time. $12.95 is annoying when you need to rebuild and once you do the rewards are not what they used to be. If the game was around $5 per month / $60 per year... I could swallow aggressive changes made in 3.0.

I want to come back (LOVE HOOPS DYNASTY 1.0 & 2.0 but will wait until they fix some of the broken issues in the game or reduce cost. Unless there is a great D2/3 conference that I cannot resist... then maybe I'll grab a 10-season pack.

ECC in D2 Tark is fun and growing. Active chat, 2 teams in the F4 this year including the champ (yours truly). Some solid enough Sim teams where if you were to pick one up you would have a couple pieces to keep during the rebuild.

plus we’re at that level of capacity where the competition is good enough to boost SOS but there’s enough sim teams to get you some easy W’s too. I’ve been wanting to move to DI for awhile now but I really have had too much fun in this conference!

The 3.0 update killed the joy from D1... wait till tweaks (EE/JUCO/Transfers/Recruiting) are made before making the jump... these tweaks should happen anytime now (before 2030). I've got a gut feeling D1/D2 is more enjoyable in 2nd recruiting cycle.

Yeah I've heard that a lot about DI. I may end up trying to get to DI in another world just because I like the squad at LIU S that much

No offense, I'm wanting to be helpful. But I know there is a group that likes the previous versions. And there's a group that likes the new version. But it's the same game. I played in 1.0 I believe. And quit for 7 years. If you love HD, adjustments made to the game shouldn't change that. It's just like anything else in life where you have to make adjustments to what you're used to.

I'm always baffled by the stories of the old vets quitting when 3.0 came out. I wasn't here during the change so I can't speak for others. But we're still recruiting, game planning, and playing basketball people! When I came back, sure everything was different. But I didn't think "this game is great NOW" nor did I think "this game sucks NOW". I just adjusted.

it just reminded me of the many times I've dropped my phone and had to get a new one..... readjust to the new formats/settings and it's business as usual

There are things I would change about 3.0, but for me, overall it is a better game and experience than the past versions.

(I mostly coach low-mid D1 fwiw.)
