now with Rodman, I feel like I got two solid first round draft picks. I guess I should thank Cmac for saving me from almost making a terrible mistake by making a terrible mistake. (actually I think you're going to be quite happy with DWade, you have a lot of drafting flexibility from now on)

I considered Rodman over Gobert. But in the end, I thought Gobert had three seasons that could help anchor championship teams (plus two very good seasons in the 20-25 mpg range) and Rodman only had one, maybe too. Plus Gobert is so much more of a factor offensively, both in terms of efg% and usg%; I'd rather have that plus elite rebounding and defense than Rodman's super-elite rebounding and good defense.

I do want jpevans to come explain Whiteside over both Gobert and Rodman. I mean, I'm happy I got Rudy instead, but that was a head-scratcher for me.

My dream target for my 2nd round pick was Pippen, but he didn't come close to making it. From there I pivoted to hoping for either DJ or Gobert, who are roughly equal on my board. A high-efg% board lord like that is a perfect complement for Olajuwon and gives me a formidable first line of defense against all those paint monsters that teams will be anchored around. I feel like I can realistically target three contending teams now, and the other two have a decent start as well.

I was between Simmons and Kidd. I think it is a great pick.

I forgot about Rudy. Didn't make a draft-list, had a few names on my mind, but blanked him. As for Rodman, I had him last season, and as good as he is, he contributed to a 23rd-place roster.
I've never had Whiteside in a draft-league, and figured I had to approach it different than last draft. He'll get me big stats in few minutes, as long as I can get a decent guy to cover his low-minute years. I've got some ideas, and I had to switch it up from last season.

Jeez, I remember when my Simmons pick at the end of the 3rd was controversial...he’s good for those 3 seasons though, you’ll love him in those 3 leagues.

Rodman + AD is scariest start imo. Lot of people are (justifiably) down on him but he’s a perfect compliment to AD.

Not liking several duos thus far. By not liking, I mean not liking the prospect of playing. And the other meaning for a few as well.

This 2nd looks so different than either of the previous ones... making it hard to guage who’ll be there tomorrow when it makes it to me

That emotional mix of uneasy/excited when there are 4 picks to be made before you and you have 4 names on your Plan A list.

I'm intrigued by the AD/Rodman pairing. The Worm is the absolute perfect compliment to Davis in a one-off draft league, but will there be Savage trade-offs to navigate when certain combinations of their respective best seasons involve them needing to play the same position?
