Also, I think that's too high for Paul George. Though I can see the logic; five seasons of tier 2-3 usage with solid efg% and 70+ defense. Probably I've just been burned too many times by his 18-19 season, which should be great in the ODL but just isn't.

I think it's kind of obvious wrt Ben Wallace - lack of offense and/or usage scared people off.

I considered Rodman over Gobert. But in the end, I thought Gobert had three seasons that could help anchor championship teams (plus two very good seasons in the 20-25 mpg range) and Rodman only had one, maybe too. Plus Gobert is so much more of a factor offensively, both in terms of efg% and usg%; I'd rather have that plus elite rebounding and defense than Rodman's super-elite rebounding and good defense.

I do want jpevans to come explain Whiteside over both Gobert and Rodman. I mean, I'm happy I got Rudy instead, but that was a head-scratcher for me.

My dream target for my 2nd round pick was Pippen, but he didn't come close to making it. From there I pivoted to hoping for either DJ or Gobert, who are roughly equal on my board. A high-efg% board lord like that is a perfect complement for Olajuwon and gives me a formidable first line of defense against all those paint monsters that teams will be anchored around. I feel like I can realistically target three contending teams now, and the other two have a decent start as well.

I too thought about pairing Moses and Rodman again, but then I remembered how that didn't work in a dh52 league. Plus with five teams, I saw problems with Rodman only being 97+ at SF in a couple seasons but not all five. Dr J is just more versatile...but TO's might be a problem with Moses and the Doc.

Can't judge Simmons yet until we see who you get to cover those other 2.5 seasons. Those two top seasons with Barkley is a nice start. Great boards at their position.

ha - yeah, I had Doc and Wallace in the 52 concur

Dame/Doc/Moses could be really dangerous depending on the next two picks/seasons used/paired

I think you have a clearly defined strategy which is like 80% of the way to finding success here.

amerk1180 is in real "competing for two championships" territory.

I think you have a clearly defined strategy which is like 80% of the way to finding success here.

Maybe more like 60% - meaning 3/5 seasons.

I love Buck Williams here. Every time we draft I think I can get him in the third and I never do.

He was drafted absurdly late last draft. Brings you fantastic efg% at tier 4 usage. Good defense. Good boards. I think I like him much better than Kemp when paired with a high usage guard like Steph in the first. Shame I didn't get him.

And he has multiple seasons that are virtually identical. He's the quintessential Savage role player. You don't want him as your best player, but he shouldn't be around when you're looking for a fourth best player.

I think Drummond is a fantastic paring with Dwight in every sense:

• He's already got a huge leg up on boards vs literally everyone else in the league.
• He has two guys that are almost always tier 3+ offense paired together to exploit weak defensive fronts.
• Dwight can cover the better offensive player vs every other team, and Drummond isn't exactly a liability there against the other.

It's what I expect from Brad.

Honestly, I had targeted a player who's still on the board, but when I realized Drummond was falling into my lap I couldn't resist. I'm more obsessive about boards than any other stat category in this game, and this tandem is close to a dream pairing on that front.

That said, I don't pick again for a geologic era and I expect to have to go all-out platoon to piece together enough assists and 3s while maintaining decent D and efficiency at the other three positions.

I was hoping to grab Ben Wallace or Andre Drummond to pair with Wilt (pipe dream) and instead agonized over the pick between two guys ultimately taking Marion. Going to try him at SG when possible- get weird with it.
