I’m calling gerry top 3 finish right now.

I don't get the Mark Price pick, especially combined with Lucas. Between Lebron, Russell, and Lucas, you've got plenty of assists. And Lebron already has PG covered. I would have gone with a wing with much better D, better rebounding, and not as many assists. A couple guys available who fit that bill. But now you're setting up a team that's going to have defensive question marks and taking away from the rebounding advantage that had been secured with Lucas, Russell, and Lebron.

No problem with Price himself or the value at that spot, which I think is about right. Just not sure of the fit.

I think double point guard is becoming much more popular; in an uncapped league, you never have enough of any stat.

Most of my builds emphasize assists more than many other people :)

Agonizing. I knew I needed a PG at that spot- the absolute chasm of picks between my 4th and 5th meant I would be choosing from scraps at the position. Not good.

My concern is not about having "too many" assists so much as it is the things you're not getting in Price's minutes. There is no cap, but you can still only put roughly 19600 minutes on the court during the course of a season, and if 2000-2500 are going to a guy with really low rebounding and mediocre defense, there's only so much you can do to make up elsewhere. So it's not that I'm saying there's anything wrong with getting more assists, but I would have rather gotten more defense and more boards with those minutes.

Given the other picks, I’m pretty happy to snag the elite threes and assists with efficiency in the spot versus trying to find that later.

Let's just say this about assists: Through two iterations, the only teams that seem to be shooting consistently at or above rl fg% are those who have 80% ast on the floor for a good amount of the game... so if you can get assists AND something else, it's a pretty big win if you're focusing more on the shooting struggle.

Correct.

I would never focus on it for a capped draft league, but in this environment, it makes sense. If you are focusing on more of a defensive squad and dominating the boards, it makes less sense. Price was my #2 pg after Rondo fwiw. Porter was #3.

I think someone's hacked ben's account.

Best I can tell is that the lack of cap is resulting in much better defenses than a normal league on average, resulting in assist floor producing much lower than RL %s and needing to get a few steps up before you can exceed.

There was no way he was going to pass up Zo.

There was no way he was going to pass up Zo. He had already been talking about how he shouldn't have fallen like he did (he's right) in another forum.
Gerry should have picked Zo, which would have given me Lucas who is the guy I wanted. Zo doesn't fit perfectly with Shaq, but I have lots of boards at the wings right now so it shouldn't be a huge issue.

Zo was the third best player on my Mambo squads that almost got the crown. Great value. He should be an early 3rd tbh
