My thought process every time Pex picks:

”Whoa! What a reach! What idiot picked him this early?!”

*looks at user name*

”oh. He must know something about Toni Kukoc that we don’t....maybe I should’ve drafted Kukoc...”

PG: Oscar
SG/SF: Iguodala, Mullin, Batum, Anderson
PF: Hakeem/Embiid
C: Gobert/Dalembert

From the point I drafted Oscar, this has pretty much gone to plan. Felt like the depth of wings was great, and got guys I thought would be there who shoot efficiently without hurting me on D. Just need short-minute Oscar backup(s), a backup for one season of Hakeem, and then maybe someone with a few spare good minutes on the wing, if I have another pick.

Billups
Bird/Hield
AK/Collins/Favors
Towns/Favors
Tree/Eaton

Hield is such a fun pick behind Bird. Lots of positional flexibility here. And blocks. Should lead at least one league in blocks with AK/Tree/Eaton.

I’ve decided that all five teams will be named:

WHITE WALKERS

I don't love Anderson but I really, really like you three other SG/SF picks. I love so many seasons of Iggy. Batum is a personal favorite of mine.

I have never been able to get on board with Embiid with all those fouls and turnovers... but you have basically mimicked Hakeem which is cool.

I had Dalembert last season and I was happy with him.

It is a good build man.

I like all of your players individually, great selections. I would have never thought to put them together in this way but I could see it being pretty good. Excited to see it in action.

If more people would run Bird at the 2, he'd be ranked higher in my mind. Looking forward to seeing this play out.

I needed more rebounds from my SF position, and I don’t need any usage at all...but Siakam is way too good to be sitting there in the middle of the 8th round

Penny/Deron
Kawhi
Birdman/Siakam
Walton/Dirk
Admiral

talk about a talented bunch. Just need to grab some low usage rebounders and maybe a shooter and I’m set.
Talk about an insane defensive starting lineup... a couple of your teams are going to be so nasty, man.

nah, I've been in Nashville the last few days with friends. add that to WIS brain fry from back-to-back-to-back Savage tournaments and there's definitely a few picks that slipped through the cracks. Kukoc was definitely not the best player available, but he filled a hole on my team. I needed a guy who could play SG and give me more than 15% assists.

C: Dwight Howard / DeMarcus Cousins
PF: Andre Drummond / Anderson Varejao
SF: Gerald Wallace / Richaun Holmes
SG: Kobe Bryant / Goran Dragic
PG: Jose Calderon / Charlie Ward

The Kobe and Cousins picks will make or break this team. I still worry about Calderon getting torched on defense, but I'm hoping to shore up the PG spot a bit more before this draft is done.

I've generally been with you on Embiid, but I couldn't really find anybody else of that caliber who could match Hakeem's usage with reasonable efg% and defense across more than a couple of seasons. He also brings a handful of threes and great rebounds on a team that is relatively weak in those areas.

Anderson has two really good seasons and one pretty good one (93-94, 94-95, 95-96) which is I was was really concerned about. He has one other season that will see minutes behind a higher-usage Mullin on a team using lower-usage Iguodala and Batum. But really I only cared about those three seasons with good efg, threes, and defense between 60-75.

On first look I'd be concerned about assists, particularly with a team built around Kobe. But you said you'd be getting more PG help so maybe not an issue.

Yeah, after the Wallace pick I realized that my starting front line was woefully low on assists, and by the fifth round I desperately needed Calderon to fall to me. I think I'll be okay on the ast% front, but just barely.
