Remember when 'they' said Obama was coming and going to take everyone's guns away.....and ammo prices went through the roof...... but then, he didn't come and take their guns........
And you're comparing this to violence, rioting, and looting? Interesting, more proof that civility lives on the right side of the political spectrum.
Let me see if I can make this case effectively.
The left has more rioting right now because we protest more. The BLM protests this summer were THE LARGEST IN AMERICAN HISTORY. 20 million participated. When you have MILLIONS of people on the streets, during a global pandemic when they have been cooped up for months, after 200 years of racial tension, and a brutal murder that we all saw on camera lighting the match, AND the institution at fault is there right across the street... there's going to be some violence, just inevitably.
Now, let's use some critical thinking. We know that over 90% of PROTESTS had zero violence, at all. Among the ones that did, it's fair to assume that the majority of those in attendance also were not violent. Even being generous to you, that's about 95% of the people attending protests doing no wrong. At most, I would say about 100,000 people participated in rioting. Is that too much? Yes. Is that enough to stereotype an entire side of the political spectrum as violent? I'm going to say no.
The left is always trying to push the country forward. Progressives like
progress. Conservatives want to
conserve. That means that most protest movements are going to be consisting of the left.
So you're comparing apples to oranges. Can you find an analogous protest movement to BLM on the right that we can compare to? If not, why are you so willing to paint with broad strokes?
