My team I have changed the names of my 2020 AAA guys, but I assume you can see the real names.

Also please check out the below thread in the Sim baseball forum.

Just because he didn't allow any in real life doesn't mean he won't in the sim.

We will take a look this week still.

I'm talking collectively the zero hr guys giving up 60 HR in 80 IP type thing.

We will take a look at it and see if there's anything we can do.

We've found the issue and hope to have it resolved next week. Thanks for your patience.

SamB might've been a ballot recount official before correctly walking back oops yep there might be a 2020 HRs Allowed issue. Not sure about 2020 arms overall, but here's a note a I just left our 2020-only exclusive player draft league where everyone's p'd about excessive deeps allowed; specially 0 real-life. I'll leave it to whoever wants too to forward for support assistance and fixes :
11/18 4:56 PM Mwett Ams with 0 rl HRs logged 347.1 rl IP. Those same arms in SIM play have logged 419 IP and 91 bombs, a HR/9 rate of 1.95. Our total league HR/9 is only 1.41; even lower if the '0' real-life HRs are removed. Hmmm; #sadfantasy. Worthy of a tech ticket?

From yesterday’s release notes it looks like this may have been addressed.

  • Modified the SimEngine to address an issue where low-inning pitchers were being assigned league average stats (e.g. HR rate) if they had a value of zero.

The one home run 2020 guys with extraordinary other numbers (e.g. OAV) are still yielding them at a much higher rate. I suspect some starters who have very strong OAVs and decent numbers are still going to be a HR derby, too. Anyways, something still feels off about 2020.
11/25/2020 2:10 PM
I can vouch for 2020 starters NOT giving up home run derby numbers. I've got 6 of them in a Champ's league, and we're deep enough in the season (128 games) that they're approaching their real life (/162) innings.

REAL LIFE IP/HR ALLOWED

Shane Bieber 209/19
Trevor Bauer 197/24
Dinelson Lamet 186/14
Kenta Maeda 180/24
Zach Plesac 149/22
Tony Gonsolin 126/5

SIM IP/HR ALLOWED

Shane Bieber 209/9
Trevor Bauer 187/7
Dinelson Lamet 165/7
Kenta Maeda 177/9
Zach Plesac 133/9
Tony Gonsolin 101/0

Home park is Astrodome, which of course helps.

yeah kbosch if you're basing that on the $255m Clones at Coors league we're both in, where the 2020 guys are facing a bunch of Ruths in the best HR park in the sim, I'd be reluctant to draw any conclusions from that.

I just had an OL season wrap up where I used only 2020 players. I had a pitching staff of:
Darvish, Hendricks, M. Gonzalez, and Bassitt with a bullpen of:
Urquidy, Curtiss, Hunter, Petit, Strahm, R. Smith, Tropeano.

https://www.whatifsports.com/mlb-l/playerstats.asp?teamid=1544751

My team RL gave up 125 HR/162 with 1,204 IP/162 and in the sim gave up 120 HR in 1,466.67 IP.

Individually that shows up as:
Darvish: 205/14 RL & 241.33/14 SIM
Hendricks: 220/27 RL & 273/25 SIM
Gonzalez: 188/22 RL & 227.33/19 SIM
Bassitt: 170/16 RL & 210.33/14 SIM
Urquidy: 80/11 RL & 79.67/7 SIM
Curtiss: 68/8 RL & 77.33/11 SIM
Hunter: 67/5 RL & 70/6 SIM
Petit: 58/8 RL & 64.33/6
Strahm: 56/8 RL & 60.67/11 SIM
Smith: 50/3 RL & 51.33/2 SIM
Tropeano: 42/3 RL & 54/0 SIM

I feel like Smith & Tropeano fit the profile named above, and performed exactly as I'd have expected/hoped with 6 RL HR/162 over 92 IP/162 and 2 SIM HR over 105.33 IP

I was in the same league with Just4me. I had the following 2020 pitchers: Sherriff, Kershaw, Clippard and Plesac.

Sherriff: 26/0 RL & 24.3/1 SIM
Kershaw: 157/22 RL & 171/23 SIM
Plesac: 149/22 RL & 163/25 SIM
Clippard: 70/5 RL & 75.7/5 SIM

The team played in Polo Grounds V.

The pitching performance seemed about right to me. Sherriff gave up just the one dinger.

I'd previously reported only on 2020 arms with 0 rl HR allowed getting lit up in our 2020 exclusive-player draft in 2020 stadiums at the rate of 1.95/9; more than 50% greater than arms who actually did give up rl HRs. This *WAS* a real p'd off issue, despite small sample examples above trying to state otherwise, and, again, only applied to my study of 0 rl HR allowed.

The better news, since admin admitted a boo-boo and announced a fix to 0 rl HRs allowed getting lit up, we've had 110.1 IP with 1 HR allowed, by an arm at 53 fatigue. Not sure how this equates to their other rates since then particularly run prevention, but hopefully it helps. Your welcome.

The issue only applied to pitchers who allowed 0 RL homers. Everyone else would perform at their expected rates. Bieber, kershaw, etc...this bug didn’t affect them. It’s the guys like Sherriff with 0 hr/9, which the sim engine instead took as “no data available” and applied a league average homer rate, in error.

I dropped my Sherriff before the fix was made, after he had given up several homers in just a handful of innings in an OL. The rest of my bullpen is 0 hr old timers, and they give up nothing, so his performance can’t be blamed on my park or a particularly offense laden league. It was the bug, and it was very real, but only for the 0 hr guys.
