Strongly urge all to send in tickets on this. They finally relented and somewhat refreshed the list two days ago.

I told them the problem is not the WW league, but the system they currently have, and it needs to be refreshed at least twice a week. They said they would consider it.

The 10% penalty is a great rule, but the essence of fantasy sports has always been to try and consistently improve their teams.

Great group of diehards here, but newbies are rarely going to keep playing under current system. I'm 8 months new here, and I'm already starting to shift to theme leagues with no WW.

I agree those WW leagues are bad and WIS should think how it affects them as well people will lose interest

As someone who joined that league, it's hilarious. But I think it's easy to universally agree on the fact the WW is and always has been a problem. I can't imagine why this is an issue without resolution. It can't be refreshed daily at the very least? I would guess making them league exclusive would be a lot of work, but just flush it like a turlet and boom, nice and clean.

The Tidy Bowl

1 1/2 oz vodka
1/2 oz blue curacao
1/2 doz raisins

Pour vodka and blue curacao into a stainless steel shaker over ice
Shake until completely cold
Strain into an old-fashioned glass
Float 4 to 6 raisins and serve

Should be an easy fix to totally re make a new WW each night at midnight or noon, or whenever, 1 time per day, shouldnt take much to put that into effect, they just never put anything into this game, they dont advertise to get more players in, (ive never even heard of this site anywhere, so finding it years ago was dumb luck) pretty much just letting it die out with us, when in this time of fantasy sports being so high, and more people at home with time to blow, they could get more people to try and fall in love with it, like we have done years ago.

My opinion. As a work around (I'm guessing this would work but I'm no IT guy) reset the waiver wire to a date 2 months ago and do that every night until this stupid league hits it's transaction deadline.

Any league members want to say when that happens.

Just finished game #54. The lists has refreshed/added names several times in the last two days. I'm guessing there is a backlog of owners want to make moves in all leagues for quire some time. I'm in for $80 mil leagues and finally was able to make a move in one of them.

This WW league can only have a team sign one FA each day.

I very seldom if ever play in leagues that allow the WW including open leagues that allow owners to trade AAA players and then use the WW to gain an advantage over the other teams. Maybe they should ban open leagues too unless or until this is fixed.
That's 100% subjective though. Many AAA players in OL's are better than anything you'll find on the WW. I trade AAA for scrubs frequently, not so I can gain an advantage - but because I don't need a stud OF when I have stud OF's already - so for me it's more beneficial to trade my 2.5M hitter for a 200k scrub so that I can pick up another bullpen arm.

I very rarely veto a proposed trade between to owners bc I feel that each owner is entitled to run his or her team as they see fit. However, I will routinely veto any trade of a $200K scrub for a AAA player.

I used to routinely veto the same until I found myself in an OL where the $$$ the $200k guys provided for WW use was way more valuable to me than the AAA players. That changed how I viewed those trades. Now, depending on my team construction and AAA pull, I sometimes seek AAA for AAA and sometimes seek $200k scrubs for AAA.

...and I no longer veto those trades. If it’s a new owner, I will call it out to them to make sure they know the AAA players have real value.

Why though?

Bc the AAA player (any of them) is worth far more. With a $200K scrub you might get 75 to 100 PAs of lousy hitting and 25 to 30 horrible innings, whereas you'll likely get a few hundred PAs of ok hitting from a AAA hitter, and maybe 70 to 100 innings pitched from a AAA pitcher. In fact, you'll see some AAA hitters outperform some of your drafted position players!

And this is why I don't think those trades should be vetoed because I'd rather have the 200k scrub that I can release to waiver wire.

I traded a $200k scrub for a AAA left handed hitting outfielder whose combined speed, contact and power rating totaled an amazing 25, but capped with an F in stamina. So I stashed him in the minors and called him up for the last 40 games. He hit 330 with 5 triples and 26 RBI over that stretch run, as I held onto first. Now as the playoffs start, he’s batting sixth for me in game one. Hard to believe many here would have vetoed that because I was being shorted.

I wouldn't have vetoed that trade because you were being shorted, but rather because you were eating the guy's lunch vis a vis value. I wouldn't think many who researched that deal would ever veto the deal due to your being "shorted".
