Kemp is once again on a top 4 team. His draft stock is rising. He's a steal toward the end of the 2nd round, I think I took him near the middle of the 2nd round 1st season. It'll be interesting to see if he goes top half 2nd round next season.

C mac, that post was EPIC! I laughed out loud at least three times. I admit I did the same thing as you in Savage II, especially after I took the Admiral. It worked to a point, as I was much better in season two. This time, I didn't go "FULL PEX" but I am finally starting to realize that real basketball talent doesn't matter in this sim. Well, somewhat, but after ohhhh about 100 drafted teams, I am starting to realize that you can't draft a team of All-stars and expect success. Guys like Montezl Harrell, Faried, maybe Bo Outlaw, Bogut, and guys like that who seem to be "journeymen" who have average stats at best...are INCREDIBLY valuable in this sim.

Also, and I hate to say this because I WANT someone ELSE to draft him in future Savage's, but Tim Duncan is NOT the stud he was IRL in this sim. Having drafted Duncan in SVG 1 and D Rob in SVG 2, and now Moses in SVG 3, the difference between Moses, Drob, and then...FAR behind, Duncan, is MONUMENTAL! I would NOT take Duncan again in a Savage league unless he is still available maybe in the mid 2nd round. Duncan in WIS gives you decent production every game and is pretty consistent, but seems to NEVER give you those 38 point, 18 rebound, 8 assist type games that Admiral gives you every now and then, and even Moses does sometimes. At least that is what I believe. DRob is KILLING me this year in almost every game against me, AND did wayyy better for me in Savage 2 than Duncan did in 1

you want a REAL laugh... one that gets deep down in your diaphram and ends with your stomach being sore?

look through those 5 leagues and start your scan at the BOTTOM of the standings...

look for the teams that start with BLUE... (Blue Cat, Blue Rat, Blue Fox, etc.)

open that roster - look at the stats and then the dudes that guy drafted...

Well this is a comforting read after seeing my 1-4 slate

I'm 3 wins away from 5 playoff teams and 4 losses away from zero.

inter conference play begins tonight. By this time next week, I think we'll know much more about what teams are realistically contenders. I suspect there are .500 teams that are better than their record and .800 teams that, while still good, aren't quite as strong as their record indicates.

That's just a generic, useless observation - I have no teams specifically in mind when making this statement.

My teams are starting to regress, I think 5-10 in the last 3 games. Might still make top-8, but top-3 seems outta reach now.

Won't be bottom 5 this time around. 83 Bird squad showing signs of life but it's an uphill climb. Other four could squeak into the playoffs.

Yep , me too

I think Kemba was the perfectly wrong pick for this team. His inefficiency has taken what could be a really efficient team to the cellar. That wasn't a good pick- among other stinkers. I am tweaking again later this weekend if I the latest recipe isn't more productive!
