Thanks. Yeah holding off all those RS2 cycles is an uphill battle for sure.
My next recruiting question... Over to D1 vs D2 battle. I’m the D2 on a D1 recruit in RS1. A D1 Sim offered a scholarship and was at Very High but I knocked the Sim down to Low. I’m at Moderate, offered scholarship.
Is the Sim going to keep dumping effort into him to battle me? At what point does the Sim move on since it’s behind?
in general you can't be sure a sim will move on until you have them at very low, but i haven't really tried pushing that limit much. someone else may have a more precise answer, but personally i'd suggest knocking the sim to very low.
What gil said. I've lost a kid to a D1 when the D1 was at low in both D2 and D3 at end of RS1. Get that team down to very low to be sure they're out for the count.
Agreed that you want to complete the mission and push the sim to very low. BUT..... I will add that I found an answer/reason to why "some" sims will stop pushing at low. And I stumbled upon it on accident. But since then, I've noticed it a couple times and used it to my advantage.
Sims seem to recruit based on listed position. So let's say you're battling a sim for a listed PG. If you push sim to low, (and you're bored out of your mind), look around at other PGs in your recruit pool. If you can find that same sim in a battle for another PG in which they're high or very high, the sim will "pause" on your player and focus its energy on the other battle. Once that recruit signs, if the player signs with the sim you're battling, you're likely in the clear. But if the sim loses the other PG to another school, the sim can and will come right back to your player and pick the effort back up.
To actually find your same sim opponent in another battle for a player of the same position, can be tedious. But if you do happen to find that info, you can use it to your benefit.
all in all its much safer to just push sim down to very low and be done with it. But if you wanna get really detailed, you can. I have found that situation more than once in my career
