At home, just had knee replaced, looking for drafts and team building distractions. This seems like a good idea when under the influence of oxycodone. Count me in. My only concern is are the teams all going to be very similar since there are just 2 albatross players? Won't everyone build around their albatrosses with Lebron, Steph, Giannis, CP3, etc?

That sucks, hope you’re doing okay.

I thought about that and I feel like I worked the list in a certain way to prevent that. First, some players are around $5.5m and really suck, some players are 7m+ and only kind of suck. So some owners will draft low salary to keep plenty free for stars, but will have two really really bad players on their team. Other owners won’t have as much money but their albatross guys will be decent. Also, the list has all 5 positions available at every play style (some of the albatross guys are high AST% PGs, some can hit 3s, some are good paint scorers, etc) and everyone will fill their roster out around their albatross’s strengths and weaknesses. I thought it through and I think I did enough to counteract it, but if that happens then I’ll make some tweaks in S2.

In addition, the cap will be so low that you can’t afford more than a couple elite players. And if you do, then you’ll have to draft other scrubs aside from your alabatross guys. So I think some owners will go with 2 elite guys and some weaker players, some will go with 5 guys that would normally be 3rd/4th rounders in ODL but no stars, etc. I’m willing to get we’ll see 24 pretty unique teams.

To 2nd what the founder said...I built a team if I got my "dream" albatross picks and at 47M, either they have to play all their minutes with stars or you have go lower tier starters to get enough minutes to rest your albatross guys.

Will we see a ton of LeBrons and Stephs? Sure. But I think we'll get some really interesting teams and I think getting the right albatross picks could be huge.
