Would love to see a poll, although the majority of the funds from these programs would come from a handful of uberwealthy people who probably wouldn't benefit as much from them.

Like, Jeff Bezos has zero reason to support universal healthcare. If I were Jeff Bezos, I would do everything possible to fight against it.

IF so, then the words "All Men" didn't include MOST of us! It ONLY referred to white male landowners!

Question: do people who rent cars or own cars tend to take better care of their vehicle? Do people who rent or own houses/apts take better care of their property? (If you think this is in doubt find a realtor friend, someone who deals with rental properties, and just listen to the horror stories). While not equitable by any means, there's a certain wisdom in only letting landowners of sufficient means vote. They tend to take better care of the country since they're more invested in it. This is shocking blasphemy I know, but did you ever consider the fact that our founders were much smarter than 99.99% of people today? Just food for thought :)

I would guess 80-90% of Americans (and this might be a conservative estimate) won't read as many books in a lifetime as Thomas Jefferson averaged in a year.

Your precious "founders" were a bunch of racist, misogynist, rich white guys who all freely admitted that the constitution was written as a living document, meant to be updated and adjusted throughout history. Even THEY knew that they weren't that "smart." You sound like a guy who saw "Hamilton" and thought it was real.
