It looks as if the clock may soon become relevant. We are currently 9 picks into Round 4 which has a schedule for 12/31.
As soon as the beginning of your time slot comes up you are free to make your pick even if there are unmade picks or uncorrected invalid picks ahead of you. However, you must wait until your time slot arrives to skip anyone. If we get caught up we can continue ahead of the clock, of course.
Also, feel free to send proxy picks if you think you may not be available when your time comes up. I will be available almost any time for these.
Example:
5:30pm pick.... gets skipped
6:00pm pick.... Makes his pick at 6:05pm.
6:30pm pick.... Let's say I'm that pick. Can I pick after the pick made at 6:05pm, at 6:10pm, or do I have to wait until 6:30pm?
Thanks
In this scenario, you would have to wait until 6:30
However....
In this draft there will be times when anyone who has a missed pick (or even those ahead of you until your time slot arrives) will already have filled the years in which you want to pick (ie everyone ahead of you and missing already has their 1885-1900 player). As in the legendary 16x16 draft, I am okay with picks like this being made ahead of time. It's probably a little early to be seeing much of this now but it may be a factor later on.
Thanks.... I'm in my second "Deal" draft right now, and when someone is skipped, guys can pick quickly like normal until that skipped person has to pick again.
I know it's a stretch, but if a person gets skipped once, is he really being skipped again? And that's why I asked what I did. LOL
This clock is NOT like that of the DEAL drafts. For instance, the last pick on the clock tonight is vilefileman. He can pick one player at 9:30pm but cannot take his 10am pick for tomorrow unless all picks are in for this current round.
If I understand your question about being skipped twice correctly, let's say you miss your 6pm pick today. If you still have not made that pick up and you also miss your 1:30pm pick tomorrow mpitt76 can pick at 2pm and you will, in fact, have been skipped twice.
