Yankee Stadium
Hi, which one?
1/1/2021 5:38 PM
Doesn't matter does it? I get all of them I believe.

accoriding to page 1 rules, you only get them all if they are exactly the same. Yankee II is very different the Yankee III. They are not the same stadiums

You definitely do NOT get all of them.

You get them all if it is the same building but a different name. (Royals Stadium vs. Kauffman Stadium)
If it is an entirely different building, you get only the one you specify.

--For this draft, we will do 17 rounds (days) of one pick per owner, then three days of two picks per owner, and then one day of three picks per owner--so the draft should take 21 days (We will take off Christams Day, so it will actually be 22 days this time.). If you do the math, this adds up to 26, yet rosters are only 25. This is due to the fact that each team must use one of these draft spots to draft a stadium. All stadiums will be exclusive. *Royals stadium and Kaufmann stadiums are the same stadium though--IE two differently named stadiums in the same city with the exact same dimensions are the same stadium.

I believe Yankee II and Yankee III are exactly the same dimensions, so I'll take that one.

So Yankee Stadium (I) is still available. Thanks for the clarification guys. :)

That is true, they are the same dimensions and that's fine.

In fairness, because their ratings are so different. One is 0.95 and the other is 1.07, can you please clarify which one. Thanks.

And yes, it makes a difference to me. I'm in the same division. Five others in the league still have to pick a park. It will be part of the decision process for my selection. Choosing a park is part of the strategy of this draft, and you decided to choose now instead of wait. The rest of us should know exactly what that park is.

Can you please clarify which one. Thanks.

Yep, they're different stadiums, in real and fake life. If you're unclear about park effects and how that works you definitely want to look that up. Dimensions as listed on WIS are entirely meaningless.

Yankee II & III aren't the same stadium though.
Yankee II opened in 1976.
Yankee III opened in 2009.

Yankee I & II are technically the same venue on the same grounds.. But significantly renovated.

It appears that the wording of the rule on stadiums is different from what we've done in other DEAL drafts. By the wording quoted above, it's only dimensions that matter. In the past it has really been park factor that has been the indicator of difference. I think this is a pickle. We need commish to weigh in...
