A Capitol protester pictured with his feet up in the offices of US House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi has been identified as Richard Barnett, a self-described 'white nationalist' Trump supporter from Arkansas.

Mr Barnett, 60, who was one of several protesters who stormed into Ms Pelosi's office, wrote her a "nasty note" and took a letter from her office addressed to a Republican Congressman.

After then fleeing outside, he waved the letter around and gave a foul-mouthed interview to a waiting reporters, where he complained of having been squirted with mace spray by police trying to protect the building.

He mockingly denied stealing the envelope, saying he had left some loose change on Ms Pelosi's desk by way of payment.

“I didn’t steal it. I bled on it because they were macing me and I couldn’t f—ing see,” Mr Barnett said, according to video posted on Twitter by a New York Times reporter.

“So I figure ‘well, I’m in her office, I got blood in her office, I’ll put a quarter on her desk even though she ain’t f—ing worth it."

He added: "When the police came in with pepper spray, “I said, ‘I paid for this, it’s mine,’ and I left."

Trump has burned a lot of bridges the last two months, along with his Covid bumbling, and has created a horrid view of himself and his supporters and defenders.
That does not in any way legitimize all the still unfounded lies and BS the left spread about him and others near him over the last 4 years.

In that same thread, you called yourself "the great guy" after personally insulting some of the veteran SLB players who disagreed with your take that you should be the ultimate arbiter of what did and did not constitute collusion. In fact, everyone disagreed with you. But you thought you could hurl personal insults at the people who disagreed with you and still be "the great guy." Never even considered the possibility you might be wrong.

Any of this sound like any high-ranking public officials you know? Ignoring science? To some extent most of US (at least from time to time) create our own "version" of reality. Live in our own bubble. Tend to fear the outside, those "others"......you know "THEM". It's a human foible. Some take it to great lengths. We're human, most of us.

For the last 4 1/2 to 5 years one person has demonstrated just how FAR a human can go into delusion and paranoia. Trumps lies. The daily inventions to self congratulate. The inveterate LYING to us (the American citizens) that I've loudly complained about and castigated him for are really only a symptom of the bigger problem. Believing in a myth you invented in the 1st place! Lying to oneself about your OWN character defects. Pretending you're something that you KNOW you can never be. A great example. "I'm a stable genius" He actually with seriousness said that for all the world to hear.

#1. Who would ever do that?? What kind of ego and lack of self awareness does it take to say that aloud..........to a camera----that's recording???
#2. Worse yet, he thinks he can convince others that that is so, because he believes it! He's so deluded he's convinced himself that he's smart (a genius) when he KNOWS damn well (He DID attend schools of various levels) he wasn't/isn't particularly smart (by simple comparison) at all.
This kind of self delusion is brilliant if one wants to HUCK someone. It's a perfect trait for a Preacher, a Junkie, a Con Man, and apparently, success in politics within the Republican Party. (More evidence to this last point may be found by looking at Ted Cruz and Josh Hawley.)

I can't speak for anyone else. But this old white guy (mostly, I'm a Heinz 57 genetically) with a good bit beyond 60 years of life and observances, have a serious question for about 75 Million of my fellow citizens. How in the eternal hell did you manage to convince yourselves that this miserable excuse of an American (so-called) businessman (a questionable SELF-characterization!) ever had the capacity, character, leadership abilities, etc!! to be OUR POTUS?? The leader of the most important democracy in Global History??? It was readily apparent he wasn't a genius, nor stable!! To ANYONE willing to examine the publicly available information with an unbiased eye!

How did YOU (no names mentioned!) allow yourselves the self DELUSION to believe he was FIT to be POTUS??
AND, more importantly, will you admit to YOURSELVES that you were wrong! That you got hoodwinked.
And NEVER allow it to happen to your sacred VOTE again!!

In other words, will GARLAND recuse himself as Jeff Sessions did?

Trust sounds about right. Claim not to pay attention to what people are saying about you but then always seem to know. Fits right in. Exactly what you'd expect from the guy claiming to always be right.

Funny thing is, I seem to remember you guaranteeing that Trump wouldn't be the Republican nominee in 2016. Then that he wouldn't win. Then that he wouldn't last 4 years. I thought the first 2 of those things too, but then, I'm not claiming infallibility.
