I've been thinking about this "highest salary drafts first" rule a lot lately. When bheid408 first came up with this theme, there was no salary cap, so it made sense to implement the "lowest salary drafts first" rule. It kind of offset the advantage of those who would pick the best / most expensive players... guys like Pedro, Maddux, Ruth. But once I instituted the salary cap, things flipped and the dominant strategy was to pick the one or two cheap seasons a crappy expensive player. Now, I agree that lowering the cap to 100M probably was a bit much. Next version, I would like to try the "highest salary draft first" rule but with a more normal $120M cap.

Yes - I have the correct salary in my spreadsheet and that's what will be posted on my next update.

All else being equal I think that $110M would've been perfect for this league, although I'd be fine with $120M. I agree that using "higher salary drafts first" makes the strategy a lot more complex.

A different salary cap changes a lot of things.
1.Who you nominate.
2.When you take a good player,
3.When you take a cheap player.
4.When you take a wasted player.
5.Who you take as a teammate, which influences who you draft......
This same draft with the same players would unfold differently if the Cap was $110 or $120M.
