Which date or event on the world schedule do you most look forward to happening? First day of recruiting? Postseason? First game of regular season?

For me, I love the first day of the season, right after rollover. I love seeing all my new recruits added to my team and being able to set an initial depth chart, scoring distro, etc. I like seeing how much my players have improved over the offseason. I usually already have an idea of how good or bad my team will be, but its nice being able to compare them to other teams in the conference and division.

Least favorite time is that long gap between your last game played and the start of RS2. That's just brutal, especially if you have an early exit from the postseason.

If I have filled up all my schollys by the end of period one of recruiting then I feel it is an eternity after my post-season elimination... My favorite days are the first day of post-season (so I can look through all the seedings/snubs), and the second day of the season when scouting opens and I can schedule exhibitions which leads to depth chart setting and so on and so forth.

im just like you guys, but my favorite day is the day after the regular season - or a bit earlier if i end with byes - when i can finally put in a winning-based lineup, instead of a growth/promises one. growth continues now which i don't love, but i feel like the balance still tips at that point and its go time! that is definitely my favorite day, when the post season is still filled with possibilities, no reality to rain on that parade yet.

i also get really into that first day sometimes, depends on the team - for the good ones i am always dying to see the off season improvement.

Conference tournament is my favorite part of the game in most worlds (except when I’m in a majority sim conference, but that’s not an issue currently).

I do also enjoy the day I decide to prioritize my recruiting targets, sometime between scouting and the first day of recruiting, but that’s not a set day on the calendar.

I play for game planning and post season only. I hate recruiting. My favorite day is the day a NT bracket comes out and we're ready to go to war. It's the reason I have a team in every 1x world. There's always a post season NT around the corner.

I do also enjoy checking out the new team as a lot of you mentioned. Just not as much as the NT run

Recruiting is such a mixed bag. You feel on top of the world if you have some great signings, but it's also depressing when you're shooting blanks. Haha.

Although when you have that many teams, there's always a recruiting period right around the corner as well.

Your last sentence is my issue. I am constantly recruiting for some team. I think every 45 days there's ONE 4 day window where I don't have to recruit at all. That's like vacation for me!

I'm just not a fan of recruiting myself. It's the favorite part of HD for most people. Someone like me who prefers the game planning aspect, and post season, I've always said I wish I could keep the same 12 players forever, and just play. Even if they were just an above average group. I'd be cool with that!

I'm kinda surprised that the start of tourney isn't the most fun part for most people. The purpose of this game is to play for titles and win tourney games right? Personally I get most excited during the NT period and just kinda sleepwalk through most of the rest. IMHO, pulling off a major upset in the tourney or making a deep tourney run is WAY more exciting and fun than anything that happens during recruiting or any other part of the season.

But different strokes and all that.

It's probably because most coaches aren't consistently coaching championship-quality teams. Once you get to the point where your team is making deep runs and has a legitimate chance of a Final Four or better, then I think the NT becomes even more exciting. But its still definitely one of the top events for me. Personally I don't know if there's a better feeling than waking up in the morning and seeing that you upset another team in the NT. Or the anxiety you feel as you're opening up your team page to see the result haha.

Losing in the second round of the tourny each season is not too exciting. That’s why scouting/recruiting is currently more exciting for me. Clearly, game planning can’t compensate when you don’t have the right horses on your roster.

If I conquer that step, then yes, tournament time becomes more exciting. For most coaches playing HD, unfortunately consistent E8 or better is not a reality. Only a handful of you have reached that point.

The date that NT seeds come out. This way I get to see if it's the 2nd or 3rd round that I am booked to play Louisiana and get booted from the tournament.

i seem to fancy the day after the NT is over. I like seeing EEs and prestige changes for my team. But the best day is day 2 when scouting opens and i can find my future.

Recruit signings start (5:00pm) of the first recruiting session. The feeling out period is over and soon teams are either all in for battles or soon scrambling for backup options, which has the domino effect that trickles down to all levels. Postseason right around the corner and the final days of the regular season conference title to be decided.
