Anyone else add a teammate for a player they want and forget about him when that player is drafted, so 5 rounds later you’re still working your roster around a teammate you can’t use?

i'm still trying to figure out how to roster 2000 pedro.

No, but I will confess to taking someone with a useful teammate and then completely forgetting about that teammate for days (also taking a different draftee to fill the spot the original teammate would have been a fine choice for).

At one point I was planning to draft 04 Mauer to get Santana. Mauer got drafted but for some reason I kept Santana on my roster. I finally stopped to look at which draftee he came with and there wasn’t one.

So I guess the 2007 Garciaparra rounds out my team. Such that it is.

He had teammates I liked, but the Catch 22 was that if I spent more on this Nomar I wouldn't be able to afford them ...

In the 26 versions of running this (bheid408 ran the first one), I've never had a 100% clean roster verification (for all teams). Got close last time.

I have to say that I do like the fact that every year of each player must be used. I foresee a future 16x16 variation where the players selected will need 16+ years in order to be nominated (like normal), but only 16 years will be used in the draft. (Maybe the person that nominates the player will also select a 16-consecutive year period to use).
