How do you guys think as a community we can best grow the game this Saturday, with the March Madness promo? Obviously, the #1 way the game has grown is through word of mouth between friends and family, so I'll try my best there. How else can we market online?

I think that's the best we can do. I don't have any social media accounts, but maybe post some info on there? College basketball subreddits and forums?

I've been an active member on the RealGM forums for about as long as I've been playing this game (2007?) Although its most an NBA discussion forum, I can drop something on there and see if anyone is interested. I would imagine they have a few thousand users.

Ultimately, the most people will be reached by marketing and ads, which can really only come from SportsHub. But maybe if we can show an uptick in users, SportsHub will deem WIS as marketing-worthy.

Yeah, similar to mlitney, promoting on popular forums like RealGM or OperationSports seems a smart way to go about it. Any way to advertise to people who are already into things like OOTP or Football Manager is def a great idea.

It helps if there are "ambassadors" who already have well-established outreach or followings on other platforms. Like if there's anyone who plays this game who already has massive reach on Twitter or Instagram or OperationSports, etc. them just saying "Hey guys check out this game" would be huge.

Paid digital ads on FB are probably the most efficient way, target folks who follow college basketball closely. Could even try and target folks who are fans of mid-major or lower schools since they're more likely to be college bball diehards in my experience -- plus would likely attract folks who would either be content at lower levels or on the lookout for "their" DI mid major school.

I'm guessing they've got some of that planned with the upcoming recruitment drive

Could probably get a decent amount through some Reddit forums, as that is frequented by many.

I'll get some stuff on reddit up. Some subreddits have rules against outside links/advertising, but I'll try my best.
