Today there will be no AAA.

I was wondering if allowing OL to have AAA players (with real names) who are below average (or way below average) wouldn't be a better answer. It would allow owners who do not draft enough at bats (which I totally did as a new owner) and innings to compensate for the mistake without getting a good hitter or pitcher; just a "warm body. Experienced owners would know not to rely on the AAA and new owners can more easily make it through the season.
My first two seasons, I assumed 600 PA/batter. Maybe the site could tell owners how many PAs per position in the batting order to expect by Salary Cap.
At least raise the limit on PAs and IP.
One other suggestion, On the Waiver Wire, change ABs to PAs. There is a minimum Pa requirement; what do we care how many ABs a batter had.

Is it safe now? If I enter an OL tonight, will there be AAA players or not? Last OL team I entered, drafted with no AAA in mind ended up HAVING AAA anyhow...

@ adlorenz

Still waiting for the green light here, I have to know what I'm drafting for before I'll enter teams in OLs.
Are AAA really gone by now?
The last OL team I entered has a AAA starter who just threw a no hitter a few days ago, pretty amazing for me but I'm sure the other guy didn't appreciate as much...

How about giving players the option of AAA or not? Very easy to list AAA and non-AAA leagues separately. This also keeps everybody happy. Non-AAA leagues would obviously get a higher cap..

Why would non-AAA leagues get a higher cap? That would seem to negate the choices and strategy that AAA vs non-AAA bring to the table.

What about AA, can OL's bring up a AA player?

The patch today should give folks a better idea of when AAA will be phased out. Sorry it took us so long to this point, the big learning was that at any point because of amazing owners like you all there is like 50 open leagues waiting to be filled. So thank you.

Hey douglasbr,

I addressed this in another post, its long buried by now.

2) Why are there not two options for OL (AAA and non-AAA)? Great question. The answer is our technology stack and past coding by the previous development team(s). It actually was the initial idea, but required A LOT of programming and sketchy database work (which we are still willing to do). Adding or adjusting anything in these games, is a scary process. The core of the game is close to 20 years old, think about the type of phones and technology the world was using back in 2001-2006. Chris and I talked about it, and I made the decision to test this new approach out.

Adding two options is something that we are still investigating but I tend to think that although this does shake things up, the change isn’t so massive that it ruins the experience. Some of the users in this thread, tend to disagree and that’s completely fine. The WIS team will continue to monitor the situation and going back is always a possibility.

You think the AAA pitchers were bad? I'd hate to see the results for AA pitchers.
