Speaking of below the bottom of the barrel, if you squint really hard you can pretend these guys kinda, sorta fill some of the holes on my team...in the same way that a corpse fills a burial plot.

Kirby White - who does in fact make my roster - has a HR/9+ of 25. I don't know if I've ever seen that before.
I had to go look up Kirby White, and it gets more fun. He allowed just two HR in his three Boston starts before being traded to Pittsburgh. But 2 HR in 28 innings was a lot in 1910, when the entire league totaled 214. White gave up just two more in 163 innings with the Pirates, a 145 HR/9+.
But those first two ...
The first was yielded to none other than Christy Mathewson, who didn't hit another one all season. Matty also doubled.
The second was to Brooklyn's Tony Smith two games later. Smith only hit that single big-league homer in 633 PA.
