Unfortunately you can thank the old development teams for not coding the world to hold different version of the code that's ideally when I would like to do these updates, in the offseason but its not technically possible. Unfortunately a necessary change like this one was going to impact a world no matter what, it just happened to be Rockne and everyone will be impacted by it, so that is unfortunately the fairest way to deal with it.

You couldn't have given us a warning??? That has nothing to do with the old development teams. So now because your end didn't give us, the people who PAY to play this game, a heads up a week ago alerting us of what was coming, get screwed??? My next few years in Rockne will be shot because I can't RS my 75% PT QB. So I've got to play a true freshman QB all of the time, which greatly diminishes my chances of winning in a season that I paid money for??? Does this even remotely seem fair???

I agree Completely with TY, we should be warned an it should start next season! We do pay for this an I for 1 am going to have a bad taste in my mouth if several months are flushed down the drain be cause i manipulated the game that is going on by a huge number of people in every world an I don't think any1 has really seen this patch update cuz it wasn't in the standings chat like the last few! There is going to be a lot of unhappy players ___________________BTW lonniemc In DIII SCAC is the 1 who snitched to adam about all this

I don't know lonniemc and I don't play GD if that's what this is about. But if it's true.... GOOD for Lonniemc!!!!! And I can also assure you that one person didn't "snitch". And instead, lots of coaches discuss errors within the games with the developers. All changes are thoroughly looked at before change is made.

As spike stated, coaches have made out like bandits in all games, by using loopholes that shouldn't be there. If one gets burned for a short term..... who freaking cares. Just because loopholes are there doesn't mean you have to use them.


Adam is working HARD at making all these games better improved. I'm very good at HD. If I get burned by a change that gets implemented, so what. I'll survive. And you will too. It won't burn you forever. Happy gaming everyone.

I knew about it, and chose not to use it in my little time in GD.. I actually read a guide, and had messages where people ADMITTED it was a bug, but "Everyone did it"... I'm also mature enough to know that IF I chose to exploit a known bug, I would take my lickins and recognize I benefitted GREATLY from it for a long time...

I have tons of seasons in HD, and I still don't offer max time and a start to Ineligibles just to take them.

You have 5 'ships in GD... You have almost an 80% win rate. Stop pretending like this affects you, or your wallet, to any real extent... You've probably been playing this game for free, for a long time... You will whine, and complain and go right back to being successful... Stop whining just to whine.

Good update and I'm happy you are doing this. However like olemissman19 says there are plenty of people doing the promise 75% and then redshirt. I almost always do it for a QB and usually a RB or WR or both as you can do it 3 times. I'm fine with the update and fixing a loophole BUT BUT BUT there definitely should have been a warning. I'm sure there will be a major heated discussion once everyone figures out what is happening. A heads up would have been appreciated!!

It has been ages - years - since I played GD. Would GD allow you to promise playing time and STILL redshirt the player? No way to do that in HD.

I'm surprised by the whining of a few in this thread. I'm very happy we have developers who are making any kind of changes to benefit the WIS community. It's good to know we have people behind the scenes working to make this a better sports simulation and hopefully making it a better brand overall.
