the fact is that the existence of Israel as a Jewish country bothers you...a lot.

Tell you what, Dino. The IDEA of a religious STATE/Country wherein everybody was expected to embrace a certain religion scares the bejesus out of me.

That's not at all what he claimed. Israel enjoys religious freedom. Not one person living in Isreal is "expected to embrace a certain religion".

I fought the urge to respond for awhile, because it is clear how many of you posting know so very little about Jewish history.

You think blacks have it bad in the US? The Jews have been treated even worse in every country they've tried to settle in for literally thousands of years.

Isreal is and has been, since the recreation of their state, the safest place in the world for Jews. Americans (and really anyone, but especially Americans because of how great of allies we've been to each other for 70+ years now) who don't support Israel do so for only one of two reasons.

Ignorance or antisemitism.

It's a contradiction to believe that Israel allows freedom of religion while also claiming that it is a Jewish State. You can't believe both.

I agree, as a Jewish person, that Jews have had it pretty rough in the world. Don't you think it could be possible that we work to improve treatment of Jews worldwide rather than say "yeah, we'll continue to **** over Jews so let's send 'em all to Israel."

I've said it once and I'll say it again: the idea that no one can criticize Israel without being antisemitic is antisemitic itself.
