What possible reason could Maricopa County have for deleting voter databases? Answer me that
^
Seriously, why do this if you're trying to dispel "crazy" theories of voter fraud?
Just like NASA has no obligation to spend all their time disproving flat earth, we're not going to continue to dispel your crazytown ideas for eternity. We can't prove a negative, anyway.
Here's what I could find:
ABC15 reached out to Ryan Macias, the former Assistant Director of Equipment Certification for the Election Assistance Commission. Macias is a representative for Secretary Hobbs on the audit floor, which he says he is doing pro bono.
Macias reviewed the image and ascertained, based on the names and the dates, that the seven remaining deleted database files were from a post machine test that is required by statute after each election called a “logic and accuracy test,” as well as the two audits already conducted at the county by ProV&V and SLI.
The letter also lists a database called “Results Tally and Reporting” as not being located on the server, however, the posted image did not list this database. Without further context, Macias was unable to make a determination on the claim.
My guess, with all available evidence (not much), is that this is a routine thing that had no impact on the audit itself. The claim only comes from the state Republican Party, and considering the other two claims in the letter seem to be debunked, it's not a stretch to assume that this one is garbage as well. One repeated trend is Republicans taking innocuous, normal elements of the process and hyping it up to be some huge fraudulent thing - remember the video evidence of "fake ballots"?
Prediction: this claim is dropped within a week as more evidence comes out proving the "deleted files" claim either bullshit or overstated. Then move on to the next lie. It never ends.
