Well, guess what. "A day is as a thousand years", is that not biblical?

or are you actually trying to claim that these particular scientists actually believe that the Earth was "created" in a period of time consisting of 6 times 24 hours (144 Hours!) which is completely ridiculous and I highly doubt that they are claiming that.

Any competent geologist can tell you (approx.) how long the various layers of sedimental soil (The Earth's crust?) took to accumulate.
The Colorado river performed magic (IMO) but it took eons (whatever those are) to do so. IF the creation theory is to be held up as valid----ANY idea of a DAY (in the Biblical creation) and a DAY (in our time and calendar) has to be acknowledged as completely differing time frames.

Otherwise it's as completely ridiculous as the concept of immaculate conception.
A humanly physical (Mary WAS a human, no?) impossibility. An idea as flawed as the Catholic Church itself.

Cath church is an institution.. and they are totally flawed as they promote false doctrines. I can give many examples. Eg they once declared Mary as a goddess. They created a doctrine about a place called purgatory, which is designed to scare the life out of people and part them from their money

They pray to Mary, but she cannot hear them, and cannot intercede for them.

We are to confess our sin to Jesus Christ, and he forgives us (We need to also repent) They confess to a man in the box and that man has no real power to declare you guilty or anything else.

This is NOT a shot at those in that faith, but at the false doctrines that are controlling them

The thousand days alludes to the fact that with God, time is not a factor, as he was before creation, and is in eternity.. and with us today

I cannot understand that either. but he is omnipresent. and this also means omnipresent in time itself. You see he knows the whole future.

An example of this is found in for eg Isaiah, ch 53, over 800 years before Christ, and he is depicted here, in detail. This shows up in Psalm 22 as well

As far as proving his existence, you who refuse to believe do so on your own choice. No amount of proof will ever suffice.. because you willingly reject the one who gave his life for you.

No man comes to the Father except that the Spirit DRAWS him.. and the patter in here proves this out, as I have yet to see even one man (or woman) come to believe because he lost the argument..

As for religion, there are several religions that adhere to the Biblical fundamentals of salvation and Life in general, but every one has it's flaws.. the real church is the Body of Christ. That body consists of all who trust in him for everlasting life, and redemption. We are the redeemed of the Lord.. not above anyone else, but actually we all know we fall short.. and that shortfall is covered by the shed blood of Jesus Christ

I had to learn the theory of evolution in Biology, nearly 60 years ago. I wasn't even a Christian then, but it made no sense to me at all. More like a fairy tale. Monkeys cannot become men. This is ridiculous. Evolution is the biggest hoax ever perpetrated on mankind, and in the end, this will be proven out

No evolutionist can tell me where the first living cell came from. (It just 'happened')
They tell some story about a big bang, an I cannot understand HOW anyone can buy that story. There is no foundation for it, and it IS a fairy tale

Now you can ask me hundreds of questions about the Ark, about all those stinky animals, and so on.. We can do this for the next ten years, but it will be the same broken record, and I am tired of playing it for you

Humans didn't "evolve from monkeys." Both humans and monkeys evolved from a similar starting point, a shared ancestor species.

The evidence for evolution is overwhelming. Lostnfound does make me laugh, though.

Oh, and you can believe in evolution AND reject the idea that the earth was created 6 thousand years ago or whatever the **** while still being a Christian. BYE!!!

FWIW, I don't believe a "day" has always been 24 hours. Look at all the ancient civilizations' records and you'll see many, many varying ways of defining time.

No ****. The way we define a "day" is going to be different based on where you live and what your society is.

However, the earth still spins every 24 hours, in our measurements. That's pretty constant.

Actually, it stood still for about 4 hours. This is Joshua.. actually it says the sun stood still.. anyways it was about 10 am, for 4 hours. Chew on that one for a bit

Let me know if you get it figured out..
