Pretty funny. But I think it's cool that we have a, what is it?? 2nd mate? 2nd man? Personally I like
Trophy Husband. hahaha

There used to be a pretty good Americana band out here in Arizona called The Trophy Husbands.
They did a real cool CD named "Dark and Bloody Ground" I think it was.
Also the name of a good historical tome on the "Pleasant Valley War" by a writer named Earle Forrest, if memory serves me right.

So from what I understand, 90% of that damage was on the first day of the riot, and was cleaned up pretty quickly afterwards. The closest you can come to saying Portland was "on fire" or "destroyed" was a small portion of the city for one or two days. During June, protests steadily died down (and were far more peaceful) until Trump sent in the feds, and that exploded protests yet again (THANKS, TRUMP!!!). However, the damage was largely focused on one specific block and courthouse. 99.9% of the city was fine.

Reminder that I responded to Lostnfound calling the protests a "takeover" of the city. The protests failed to "overtake" one ******* courthouse. Portland was and is fine.

And by the way, the riots caused 300 thousand dollars in damage to public buildings!!!! Don't look into the fact that in 2020 ALONE, the city of Portland paid out 1.14 million in lawsuits filed against the police. That's money stolen from average people because of police misconduct. Maybe focus on that instead?

Portland has been savaged over 40 times in less than 2 years. Please remove your head from the sand, and just look on U T, or any half say website

and I can get you fifty more.. $300,000 damage? In your dreams

You need to wake up and open your eyes

The first video you linked me is titled, "Portland Protesters Burn Bibles, American Flag Outside Federal Courthouse." That's their first amendment right and has nothing to do with property damage - the only thing being hurt there is your feelings.

The second video is of a couple of protesters lighting a fire to one public ICE building - if you actually watched the video you would see that the entire building isn't close to being on fire and 100% still exists today. Your claim is that protesters burned the ******* city down but you send a video of them failing to burn one ******* building???

The third video is basically the same - that's a lame, small fire that was probably immediately put out.

The 300 thousand in damage was a claim from Doug's article. Do you think Doug's source would lie?

So once again, how much of Portland do you think was burned down? Percentage wise.

Canadian gets “news” from YT videos. You can’t make this kind of stupid up.

You are a LIAR who doesn’t know DICK.
Dude claims that Portland was ravaged by fires and burned down and links two videos of small fires in two buildings, lmao

Why are you Americans put back a year in our schools when you move here then? Assuming we are so ahh dumb
Canada also invests in poorer students to ensure that there is a more equal quality of education, You also pay your teachers more and ensure that the best teachers are in classrooms spread out across poverty lines. You also do a really good job of integrating migrant children into your classrooms - and those children perform well in testing.

I think that you might support big government, higher pay for teachers, investments in poorer students, and immigration! Your successful, smart country certainly does!

This is on the Cath Schools and their system(s)

but our rate of violent crime per capita is about a tenth of what it is in the US.

We have never had many mass shootings in our schools, nor mass shootings in our malls, and we have never told colored people to sit at the back of the bus. That's because we are more civilized

In Portland, 76 Nights of Protests Leads to 550 Arrests and More Than $20 Million in Damage

https://www.newsweek.com/portland-76-nights-protests-leads-550-arrests-more- $20-million-damage-1524672

$20 million is a lot more than $300,000. and that figure is total baloney

but go ahead. discredit the source. Hide your head in the sand.

BTW most of those arrested in the riots were kicked loose. This backs my statement that the Democrats don't care about YOUR well being, but since you are one of them.. this is more wasted time

Sad that you have no clue to what is happening in your own country. You have been blinded

Our U.S. (lenient) Judges have "kicked" them all loose, all right. They're deporting them all to B.C.
And giving them your picture.
I never knew you looked so much like Gomer.

You realize that the vast majority of those damages are projected lost revenues, not property damage, right? It was a couple million in property damage to buildings (which is still overshadowed in the long run by the damage from police brutality and the ramifications in payouts) and everything else was lost potential revenue.

PORTLAND, Ore. — The Portland Business Alliance has released a statement detailing economic damages due to riots in the last few weeks. The numbers come from a survey conducted with downtown business owners.
PBA says the downtown area has lost more than $23 million - $4 million from physical damages, and $18 million in lost revenue.

This isn't evidence that the entire city was burned down/ They'll be fine.

Not sure if you think the Democrats control the entire justice system but just in case you're not aware, whether or not the protesters are released has absolutely nothing to do with the Democratic party. The legal system just decided not to prosecute or didn't have a case. That's how it works.

Yup! In THIS Country.

Based on OUR Laws.
I still don't get what aldurnut doesn't get about the worth of his opinion (A Canadian) to us.......American citizens.
He has NO say.

I'm a bit confused. Many posters here have said a Canadian's opinion about America doesn't matter, yet while Trump was POTUS, many of those same posters kept clamoring how nobody else in the World liked him. Why did it matter what non-Americans thought then, but not now?

(FWIW, I said it didn't matter then, and it doesn't matter now.)

OK, I'm officially confused. Your country is far more left wing than America, yet you consistently brag about how it is better. Lower crime, better education, etc.

How does that make sense?

So if you can remember, the reason why it was relevant that other countries didn't like Trump was in relation to his foreign policy. No one was talking about how France disapproved of the tax bill, or whatever. They were talking about how Trump treated foreign allies and adversaries, and about how America is viewed in the world, all very relevant.

If lostnfound was only talking about Biden in relation to his foreign policy and its impact on Canada, that would be fine. The reason why lostnfound is being ridiculed is that he is trying to speak with authority on American domestic politics, something that he clearly knows nothing about.
