In my County (in AZ), according to a knowledgeable source, Banner Health's employee vaccination RATE is 30%!!
That's 70% NON-vaccinated. Of the 70% a FULL 50% of them state they won't get vaccinated at all, even IF they lose their jobs!

I have a neighbor who is one of the 70%.
She is the HEAD of their home nursing program.

She has always claimed she will NOT get the shot and would quit her job IF it came to that.
She and her husband have a blended family (like the Brady Bunch). They have 4 kids, 2 each boys and girls.
The weekend before last they hosted a big birthday celebration for one of their daughters, along with some other community members birthdays.
It was a well attended bash.................in a community (and group of people) largely refusing vaccinations.

The latest news................... She, her husband, and all 4 of their children have now come down with Covid - 19!!
No word yet on how many others are sick because of their hosting of this (super-spreader) event.

Also, no word yet on her status as a Banner Health employee.
Or IF she will recover enough to even go back to work................IF she accepts vaccination!
UPDATE:

I have more local news on this party. It indeed WAS a super spreader event. The party was 13 days ago (Last Sunday).
In addition to the family I mentioned (all 4 VERY sick), we have somewhere near a dozen others NOW sick with COVID - 19.
And ONE very note-worthy DEATH. A guy who goes by the name "Sparky" (ironically enough here at WIS) is DEAD. He got the virus and DIED in less than 11 days! He was a very well known feller round these parts AND in the very center of the "Trump covid is a hoax" crowd,

Gotta wonder what they're saying this AM??
He was killed by a HOAX in less than 11 days...................gasping for his last breath...................

I KNOW what I'm saying!!!

"Sparky's" funeral service is tomorrow.

This Sunday (19th) there will be a celebration of life "get together"/party at the home of the widow.

This is ALL completely TRUE.
I live in a small rural neighborhood in Arizona.
In a hotspot of Trumpmania.
My neighborhood of 200-300 is prolly 90% Trumpet's (including the deceased Sparky)

Sparky died from a "party/birthday gathering" that occurred on 8/29. Many got sick of Covid following the event.
NOW the same group of folks are holding (ANOTHER) superspreader event to commemorate the death of one of their OWN!!

IN MY own neighborhood!
I have a friend who is friends with these people.
He wants to attend the funeral and is "hurt" because they have invited him to their memorial party and (somehow) wants ME to feel for him!! (because he'll reveal himself as "not really one of them?" (He did admit it was partly because he'd have to "choose sides" publicly on the COVID and isn't a "political person")

Anyways, I guess I'm an *******, because my response is GROW SOME F'ING BALLS!!!
And further IF you go to these events, adios amigo, hit the road Jack because I no longer respect you as my Friend, because I can't trust YOU to do the right thing!

Thus, bottom line, 1 less friend.

And fact is, SOMEONE associated with this group of neighbors of mine needs to develop a spine, grow some balls, show some responsibility and say to the ipso facto leader of this group (the one who sends the group texts/invites) How many folks do you have to KILL to wake the F*#K UP!!

And my former friend just must be told that some of us can NOT remain "Friends" with those they can no longer respect or trust to DO THE RIGHT THING!!!

And as we all know, Christian Conservative lostnfound74 would NEVER seek to force his will on other people. That would be crazy, right? What people do in the privacy of their homes should be of no interest to the state. My body, my choice.

It is so fundamental and embedded into our law from the very beginning with George Washington and John Marshall who essentially said that you must protect your neighbor from your self and he said that the state has the right if not the responsibility to mandate vaccines themselves and other similar measures in the times of a health crisis.
This has been American law and tradition from the very beginning of the founding of the country until the current madness of the barbaric anti science and anti religion anti Vaxers who are now killing off themselves while making life more miserable then it needs to be.

What is a POC.
I personally consider anyone working in a medical facility who is not vaccinated to be unfit.
Their refusal to accept medical science during a pandemic should - I say should - disqualify them.
You can call it stupid. I prefer to call it willfully ignorant having something to do with an anti social disrespectful and selfish personality. This pandemic is showing that there are millions of these types.

They should not be in the medical field and I do not allow them to be involved in my medical care and I shun them for what I consider willfull incompetence and poor judgement.

No, if you’re an unvaccinated doctor (assuming that you don’t have an underlying condition that prevents you from getting vaccinated which is extremely rare) you are stupid. You are dealing with immuno-compromised people on a daily basis.

As far as them being involved in “my” medical care, I could care less if they are vaccinated or not. I am vaccinated and am not over 65 with at least 3 underlying conditions. They pose virtually zero risk to me.

You don’t mind having a stupid doctor or nurse.
Now that is your choice and you have a right to that choice.
I may consider you and the doctor to be two peas in a pod.
