Being against the Covid vaccine doesn’t make you a bad podiatrist. Those two are unrelated. Unlike 95% of the people on both sides of the political spectrum, I have actually looked at the data (and trust the data) and can make an honest risk calculation.

I think your understanding of words is just fine too, so stop pretending to not know what they mean.

I have no idea about your comment about my understanding words or pretending to not know meanings. I really have no understanding at all what you are talking about.

Since I think that the science is so more then overweeningly clear and crystal clear I would never risk my health by being under the care of someone I think has no common sense or normal judgement about a life and death issue.
To me the practitioner against the vaccine is a dangerous risk and I would not trust his diagnosis one way or the other about anything.
I consider such a person as bad - professionally and otherwise.

For an example if you were a women and had a cyst on your breast would you feel comfortable if your specialist was an anti vaxxer and said it is just a common cyst and you don’t need a biopsy or an ultrasound or any test. Just trust my judgement.

I would run for the hills and find a person whose medical judgement I could trust and believe in.

It is just obvious.

Washington STATE doesn't control LOCAL police budgets.

Firing employees who are unvaccinated will improve the general quality of teachers, police, and doctors (especially).
Could you please elaborate on your second point?
Those who would refuse a vaccinate mandate are far more likely to be stupid and/or incompetent, especially unvaccinated people who are DOCTORS AND TEACHERS. Firing these employees and hopefully replacing them with vaccinated individuals would increase the average quality of those fields.

I don't want teachers, doctors, and police who lack basic critical thinking skills or who are locked in a misinformation bubble. Firing those who are (and offering an incentive to change those behaviors) would be a positive action.
That’s quite a racist take, tang. Would have thought better of you.
Point taken. Funny joke. Don't care. While it is true that many aspects of the medical system are biased against black people, choosing not to get vaccinated because of Tuskegee or some **** is really dumb.

As far as I understand, a higher percentage of nonwhite people are unvaccinated because they think they wouldn't be given access, not necessarily because they're just anti-vax in general. Still, that's a pretty weak excuse.

Hey newbie. I was picking on Tang. It’s something that we’ve done for years. You’ll learn.

I took his point to mean that people who aren’t willing to get vaccinated are stupid and shouldn’t be working in healthcare. Seeing as how POC’s are disproportionately more vaccine hesitant, then he is indirectly saying that POC’s are disproportionately stupid.
I mean, I get you were joking, but this is a reach. You can be stupid and also be vaccinated.

That's great, but you spelled out my logic right there. Choosing to get the vaccine is a result of an honest and simple risk calculation. Anyone not making a similar calculation either has different variables (in a misinformation bubble) or is unable to get an honest result (stupid).

Or be willfully ignorant and intentionally disregard the data because they just want to make a point about defiance somewhere along that spectrum.
That is a huge percentage of the unvaccinated.
There are very very few people saying that they have studied it and do not think that the vaccines work.

I’ve gotten a friend’s sister to get the shots.
Her sister is a bit obese and that’s dangerous even though she is in n her 30s.
im working on an old girlfriend and I can’t figure out why she won’t get the shots.
Neither are doing it for political reasons.
Sometimes I think they and maybe others want to risk death or feel less entitled in some way to be immune.
There are a lot of reasons I think but something is fundamentally wrong with all of them.

I like the cartoon.
All of my baseball team names are connected to The Jetsons or My Favorite Martian or Pink Floyd or some combination.
9/12/2021 4:52 PM
The Jetsons aired circa 1962 for just two seasons but the entire cast was brought back for a new season in 1985 and almost all of the episodes were from 1963-4 for the third season that was not made.

I love Hannah Barbara art. I have several cels signed originally by Hannah and Barbara and a Bugs Bunny signed by Chuck Jones.

They are great art pieces for a fun room.

The Jetsons Flintstones combo I did not like.
Not plausible enough for a cartoon.

I know of a woman who asked her mom not to get the vaccine as a birthday present to her. Really? You want your mom to put her life at more risk as a birthday present??
9/12/2021 7:07 PM
That sounds like a woman who can’t wait any more for her inheritance.
