We are a long running progressive league going since 1920. (Riggins League) . We are in the beginning of our 1968 season and are planning to expand by 4 teams in 1969. We already have one expansion team and are looking for 3 more teams. This league has a great group of owners with little down time in between seasons. We have 16 teams now. We use a tiered win floor where you need 50 wins to be eligible for first round pick.
Here are our expansion rules:
1. Existing teams protect 15 players and 1969 draft picks. Expansion teams will be allowed to pick our 1969 draft picks
2. Draft order for the expansion draft will not snake. It will be random order and will be 1-4 each round. Then in the regular 1969 draft, it will go 4 to 1 in each round. Opposite order of expansion draft.
3. Expansion draft will be 12 rounds. Each current team can only lose 3 players/picks.
4. After expansion draft, expansion teams will post keepers. Current teams will then post their updated keepers.
5. In the regular draft, Expansion teams will pick after the teams with a losing record in 1968.
6. Expansion teams are given supplemental picks after round 1,3 and 5.
