They made that change a few months ago. It would be nice if they added something in conference chat since most coaches don't frequent the forums.

Where do I even look for such updates

Just like with the box score or play-by-play option, why don't they just add a similar screen whenever there is an important game announcement that you have to click through before you go to your team, that way people don't miss things. On top of a public release like they've been doing of course, although I have also struggled to find changes with the current system. Especially past changes.

i seriously don't get how this request is so persistently ignored by site staff. they have broken down and done it once or twice, but its like, come on guys. minimum level competence is telling your users when things change, this part shouldn't be such a struggle!

thank god we get those 10 spams a month about worlds rolling and available d3 openings, though!

We definitely get all of the promotions in conference chat haha.

if I start this guy rest of the way, any chance he stays. thinking I can get him to 19 starts, 23 min per game regular season. will miss his 25 min promise (2 min) and start promise (7 games).

well, did you leave him off the depth chart completely? there seems to be a longer leash there. if you had him on, but not playing the starts, then i don't know. i would personally meet them the rest of the way. it used to be guaranteed, if you fully met a promise from the first complaint on (through the whole reg seasons), the player would always stay. but this is not the case where it relates to starts, so i'm not sure you can guarantee safety here? i'd definitely give it a shot though, not bail.

really, i think if you already started this guy once, and then stopped, you are boned. i think the game looks for honest mistakes or something. if you haven't started him and then you do start him the rest of the way, i kinda think you have a pretty good shot of surviving. if he was off the depth chart completely, i'd almost guarantee he stays, but not quite because like, i don't know. stuff has changed a lot and i haven't paid that much attention. weaponizing the more forgiving logic of promises, its possible i think (implying there is probably consistent behavior here), but i'm half lazy and half don't want to do it because i think promises SHOULD have leeway for honest mistakes, and because a lot of that was already eliminated due to what admins perceived as abuse of the system or perhaps ridiculousness in the system (like how you could pull promises in recruiting with no penalty ever). but anyway just kinda mentioning that there is definitely some protection there, i just don't know when it applies and why.

Does it not still show the red starter icon my his name when you are in depth chart, player game settings or on his personal page? The only time I signed an ineligible with promised starts the icon was still there to start his eligible freshman season.

It still shows, I just hadn’t ran into this scenario recently. Previously it wasn’t applicable
