Context...... this is "the big year" after a slow rebuild. We're not a contender really. But we're worthy of our rank, and talented enough that I expected Dayton to win the division for the first time in like 30 seasons for the school. Was 9-0 in conference and just faced another 9-0 team the night before. We had lost.

Time to refocus against winless sim Richmond, and...... THIS happens! Laugh it off, and keep it moving. I've dealt with bigger upset losses countless times. But this is maybe the worst one game sim I've had!

Their starting PG has an 8 for defense. Wow.

So my team was nowhere near as bad as that one, but it reminds me a few seasons back (season 154) when the Rutgers squad I was coaching in Phelan finished the season 5-22 but beat Iowa, the eventual national champion, in non-conf play.

Tbh - that upset is brutal and possibly the worst I've ever seen but at least it's not one of those 16-seed Sims over a 1-seed upsets that happen once in a blue moon.

I've had one of those recently. It was super fun.

You drew the “heartbreaker” card, after spending up all your juice. At least you have a couple conference games to build it back up. The worst is when that happens at the very end of the season, or in the CT. Then you’re almost always screwed going into the tournament.

Whoever designed the game pretty clearly believes in “momentum” and “dynamics” in team sports.

Isn't that "whoever" Tarek Kamil?

Yikes. That outcome makes zero sense.

Haha, that's a great one. I haven't been simmed that bad in at least a few years.

Not really. Upsets of ranked teams by much lesser teams are rare in real life, but do happen at times.

You mean we’re just brains in jars hooked up to a server in Elon Musk’s pantry after all? This iPad feels so real though. Weird.

I should've mentioned this in the first post, but I just realized I was a 64 point favorite when I lost this game! Yikes.

and here I thought my 11 point loss (as a 25 point favorite) to a 2 win sim team in non conference when I was ranked #10 was bad
