Penny seems to be one of the casualties of the last few RL seasons' worth of hyper-efficient players. With a tinge of recency bias at work. He used to be picked in the second or high third round pretty consistently. The only conceivable knock against him is his lackluster percentage from 3, which is the main reason I took Mookie over him.

Penny fit well for me because I already had almost 200 threes from Embiid and Jokic. I needed a PG with solid assists, very good defense, and solid efficiency, and he fit the bill. I'm overloaded on efficiency now but nobody is too inefficient, so hopefully not a problem.

Yep, Deron is another guy who can reasonably be taken at least one round earlier. He's easy to work into most lineups.

Yeah, that was my thinking. Happy Deron fell to me but would have gone with Penny as the alternative. Think Deron is the better fit with Giannis, Draymond and Kemp.

A Deron saved is a Deron earned.
