You and cem6989 have both picked 9-11 and 7-8 so you need to wait on him to re-pick.

The next person who could pick without waiting is deathproof, but only if he picks from the 7-8 slot.

Tim Duncan 8 - 9

My apologies Hakeem Olajuwon 8 - 9

Good Afternoon,

I like giving people the benefit of the doubt and trying to be understanding. But in a draft that only has made 64 picks in 6 days it seems to be going slower than other drafts and waiting for someone to make a re-pick seems to drag it out longer. If a person isn’t paying attention enough to the picks or page 1 and makes a mistake about selecting a player already drafted, then that error should fall on them alone. I don’t think it should force others to wait. I suggest allowing the draft to continue until the person realizes they made a mistake to fix it. Midge seems like a wonderful, happy person based on the couple of zoom calls we have been on together so I don’t want to push too hard on this issue, I just wanted to express my suggestion and see if anyone else agrees?

I agree; my opinion is that if a user takes someone who has already been selected, and there wasn't an error of some sort, then we should SM the user who made the mistake, but shouldn't hold up the draft waiting for them to fix it.

I agree, as long as page 1 is being updated in real time and you can use the "find" command to see if the guy you want is available. I've been in drafts where page 1 was not always updated, and it was a real a pain to figure out who has been taken, especially when the draft thread gets to be 20+ pages long....

So I am going to disagree with Chewy's proposal even though I get frustrated with slow drafts too. However, skipping someone might impact the competitive balance as one team might miss a lot of picks, and therefore be handicapped, and there will be 5 other teams that get to play that team 8x. Just my 2 pennies..

1) I try to update as soon as possible, but sometimes I have to sleep, eat, argue with robusk and so on.
2) There is A LOT of talent available in this draft.
3) I think ALL drafts go too slow.
4) Maybe if we put in a continue the draft rule everyone will double-check to make sure they are drafting a player who hasn’t been drafted.
5) I like the idea, I say let’s put it to a vote.

Proposition Chewy

If someone takes a player that has already been selected, as soon as someone spots the error and informs the person of their mistake, the person has one hour to re-pick. If he or she hasn’t re-picked within one hour the draft will continue and the person can correct their mistake as soon as they can.

If this rule passes, I say we honor cem6989 by naming the rule for him. Until I know better I am going to assume that his name is Charles Edward Matthews and he was born on June 9th, 1989. We could call it the Chuck rule or the Matthews rule or maybe the Chewy rule. Let’s vote!

The draft is going slow, but I dont think a 15 minute rule is sensible. I also don't think posting picks, out of position is sensible either
