They got caught and then lied about it

First they bragged about how smart they were, then got really huffy about it when it turned out they were just cheating.

Teams that cheated and won the World Series with sign stealing:
Astros
Red Sox (the next year!)
Cleveland

Teams that engaged in gambling and or throwing the World Series:
Reds
White Sox

Teams that did massive amounts of drugs:
Pirates
Mets
(Probably literally all of them)

Teams that engage in rampant service time manipulation:
Rays
Astros (again!)

Organizations that literally change the rules of the game and the ball used:
Major League Baseball

Maybe a big part of why people like to tweak the Astros about it is because their fans like to present full court cases as to Why You're Not Allowed To Be Mad At The Astros, Actually
