I cant win a pucking roll lately. Losing when im ahead. Losing when im behind. Losing everytime.

It usually doesn't change until you complain. Now you'll win the next 8 out of 10 rolls. That's science.

At least that's how it works with me. The moment I ***** about it, I win a few.

Does going on a 2 or 3 year cold streak make you more likely to consider changing jobs and starting fresh with a new challenge? If for no other reason than losing momentum and having to rebuild a bit at your current program?

Depends on the gig. I keep losing rolls at Kansas consistently. I started off with a season where I went 3 for 3 winning all my rolls at just high. Since then, I keep losing rolls, but I'm still fielding great teams by signing players without rolls (either no one "really" challenges me, or I'm keeping an opposing coach at moderate). I try to hang tight there.

If I was losing rolls at a B- school or a C or D baseline school, I'd probably get tired of it and start fresh elsewhere

Hang in there OP!

the highs and lows of rolls are a real real thing

Won a roll finally as the 46% underdog. I love science.

So I play in 2 worlds. In Wooden I'm Baylor and I have no real connection to this school. So if it gets bad enough yeah i could leave.
In Phelan I'm the Louisville HC. This is the one that matters to me as it is my Alma mater. I doubt ill ever leave unless I get fired. And there is no way I'm getting bad enough to get fired.

I haven't won a roll that I was leading in a few seasons now, so if anyone was going to change your luck it would be me. That one hurt.

Hey Dan sorry about that. The streak had to end for one of us I guess. Maybe make a post complaining and things will turn around for you too.

I'm 0 for my last 5 rolls over the past two seasons. I know people complain when they are on a cold streak, but it makes it hard to feel like you can consistently build programs. By the time you lose rolls on all of your top targets in the early cycle, it's too late to recover and sign prospects that are anywhere close to good enough. They need to make it so that players don't have to go all in on 1-3 guys while not being able to recruit fallback options.

I just started a spreadsheet to track my rolls. However, they don't make us do anything. We have every choice in who we target, who we battle, who we go all in on. Unless they make it a draft or give everyone the great players that they want. I am not sure there are many changes that would make recruiting more fun for me personally.

I made a long thread about this recently. It’s a variety of different issues intersecting right now that makes the game worse.

None of which will ever realistically be addressed or fixed despite what the handful of apologists for SportsHub claim about the promises of future improvements. This game isn't someone's hobby that they have created in their spare time after work. It's not uncommon for people to spend $30 a month if they carry two teams, I don't think it's at all out of line to expect basic improvements to the game. How long has it been since the last major update to recruiting? 7 or 8 years? I reached out to their corporate leadership a while back and offered to purchase the rights to the game, software, rights, WhatIfSports slice of the business, etc. and to no avail. For now we are stuck with a subpar game that we all love but know will never get better. Eerily similar to my dating experiences.

As a side note, I'd be less likely to complain about a bad recruiting system if I could take my mid major success and move to a power conference job worth anything.
