New theme league - The College League - NBA69562

Your roster must be made up of 12 players from the same college.

NO UCLA, they are too much better than all of the other schools for this league.

(Edit) I decided to give the lesser schools a chance I will let owners combine 2 schools from the same state as long as none of the real big teams (North Carolina, Houston, Duke, Georgetown, Indiana, Syracuse, LSU, Ohio State, Michigan, etc..) are involved. So you can for instance take Oregon and Oregon State, or Notre Dame and Indiana State to get Bird on the team. Or Arizona and Arizona St.

Forgot to say that any player who played at more than one school is only eligible for the school where he played the most games.

First come, first serve, pick a college that has not been taken yet and start your team. You can use this site to find which NBA Players played at that school .

https://basketball.realgm.com/ncaa/conferences/Big-12-Conference/3/Kansas/54/nba-players

You could also just use Basketball-Reference which is probably even better for this project.

No salary cap
No waivers
No rookies
Divisions will be set up geographically although all owners with 2 teams will have one team in each conference.

I'm taking Kansas.

I would play but I'd need the cap to be lower not going to be a lot of parity I think otherwise

I think we can find 24 schools where the total salary would not be all that different from each other. My Kansas team is about $73 million. There will be schools with more and schools with less, but we should have no problem getting 24 schools that have enough NBA starters to get into this range.

A school like Houston has Birdsong, Drexler, Hayes, Olajuwon, Randy Brown, Cadillac Anderson and others.
North Carolina will be strong.
Michigan has Weber, Rose, Rudy T, Robinson

Every team is gonna have weaker guys at a certain position or two. North Carolina has Jordan, Cunningham and Worthy, probably Perkins and Kenny Smith starting. They should be very good, but someone could be better.

LSU with Shaq, Maravich, Chris Jackson, Pettit, Bass, Glen Davis

Michigan State with Johnny and Draymond Green, Magic, Randolph, Richardson, Steve Smith and Kevin Willis.

Syracuse with Coleman, Anthony, Bing, Douglas, Schayes, Seikaly,

Wake has Duncan and Paul to start.

What does Georgetown do with Ewing, Motumbo AND Mourning all there...along with Floyd, Green, Iverson. - Mourning is 100% at PF so there you go.

If you're loking for parity this may not be the league for you. If you're interested in what kind of teams that schools could put together then it may be. If this gets off the ground I will probably do anpother season where the 24 teams from the first season are not available, so we get down to leser teams and some players who don't normally get used on teams here.

I think we know that UCLA would be the best team, but I'd like to see which other teams would be the best of the rest. That's why I don't want a salary cap.

Arizona State has Harden, Lionel Hollins, Lever, Byron Scott, Freddy Lewis, Lister, Caldwell.

Cal would be interesting with Abdur-Rahim, KJ, Imhoff, Anderson, Chenier, Kidd, Murray

Texas has Aldridge, Augustin, Durant, Joseph, Thompson and Turner.

Maybe if I had trouble filling this, after all of the real big schools are taken I will allow guys to combine 2 schools from the same state or something to get the rest of the league filled. We should be able to fill North Carolina, Duke, Georgetown, Syracuse, LSU, Ohio State, Michigan, those kind of schools. That might even things out. A combo of Cal and San Francisco for instance would be good. You put Russell and KC Jones with Kidd and Abdur-Rahim. A combo of Wake and NC State would give you Duncan, Paul, Bailey, Thompson, Gugliotta, Burleson, and Nate McMillan.

If you want to approach me with a combo of 2 schools from the same state and neither school is one of the real biggies, do that. That should help even things out so the other owners will have a chance against the heavyweights.

beloud is taking a Louisville / Cincinnati combo. Not from the same state, but only like an hour apart so I am allowing it.

I would like to keep it to one team each, but we do need owners and beggars can't be choosers, so okay, you got 'em.
