and when you wrote this it was pretty transparent too:

"They seem to have some very cliquesh behavior and don't like to let new folks in, especially when they kind of stand out - such as you."

because that's not a thing, at all

If I didn't stand out (for good or bad reasons) you and asha-hole wouldn't be cyber stalking me in every thread I'm In.

no no - we've had a raft of new guys come on board in the last year and I am sure that they would tell you that the veteran community has been generous and encouraging - so that's what's not a thing at all

as for standing out you certainly do - as the worst case of Dunning-Kruger Syndrome we've seen here in maybe 5 years

I'm not claiming that I know how to win here, so how is it Dunning-Kruger Syndrome?

I do claim that I know a lot more than you and asha-hole about everything there is to know about basketball. First off, being an official for 17 years I'd kill you both on the playing rules. Secondly, have either of you guys ever coached, or even played at a decent level?

I would bet that you both are just number crunching geeks who can barely dribble the ball.

You did claim that you knew how to win here though. When I told you that you should read a few forum posts to learn how to play this game, you literally said "I already know how to win here."

That's a direct quote.

You are also claiming to be better at something without having any idea how good the other person is. How do you know that someone else hasn't played, coached, and reffed at a higher level than you?

copernicus has never stood up for anyone before, so that is proof positive. The man hates everyone.

pennsylvania, is that you?

Also yeah, the new crop from the last year or so: chewy, raggedclaws, dontburnearl, berkelon, reeldeal... probably 30 other people not coming to the top of mind: very strong crowd. Way less annoying than us old timers.

I'll take my chances against those 2 numbers crunching geeks. They are like Jonah Hill's character in MONEYBALL.

As a resident chubby number crunching geek who in fact can barely dribble a basketball, I take offense sir! :')
