1982 is CRUSHING it this round!
would have been able to spend more if i hadn't had to watch all those players sitting so long... was getting worried about how small my cap was going to be..

1968 Merv Rettenmund - $782,008 (Bench4)

I'll add another 1982 to the mix. Was really hoping Pedro would take someone from '82 so I could leave this pick until last, but I'm running out of years and don't want to get stuck later. reddtrain has his 1982 player and everyone else has a 1B, so:
1982 Rod Carew 1B 5,033,291

Big leap ahead. Only 3 above me need an OF2 and all have their 1978 player. From the Jackson State Pen League:

1978 Ron LeFlore OF2 $6,044,582

LOL. Sounds like a great team name... "Jackson State Pen"

I'll go ahead and take one leap forward as well. 3Day and schwarze have their 1988 players, and no one else in front of me needs an OF2, so I'm drafting 1988 Brett Butler $6,388,564.

1975 Bobby Bonds OF2 5,880,496

went to drop off car... sorry.

Well, I thought I'd be waiting a bit longer to draft my SP2, but a new development has presented itself, and I think this guy is the perfect fit. You'll have to wait until I post my "Draft Strategy" writeup to find out what this new development is.

1987 Bob Welch, SP2 $7,313,215

I ended up taking Andre Dawson for his glove but heavily considered Bonds as well.

You sir....well....let's just say you may have wrecked the remainder of my draft. He has been on my draft roster since rd 5.

Honestly, I had a gut feeling you might be taking him soon. I needed the salary savings he provided and he's not all that bad compared to what's left. Now, I just need everything else to work out perfectly, for my grand plan to be successful.
