Too early to start sales pitches for our players? ‘90 Boggs is a classic dwelling that doesn’t offer much flash, but he’ll provide a comfortable dwelling for your team at a “can’t beat” price!
There's a 2B who is ranked 7th among all 30 players at the position in OPS+. He's a switch hitter and has the following normalized slash line. .308 / .374 / .454 - and he's relatively inexpensive, costing only $4.7 million. He's not going to win any gold gloves but you can survive with below-average defense at 2B. He's a steal this late.
At the time, I had '67 Bunning penciled in as my SP1, but that's changed now. In retrospect, I wish I had taken
'67 Pete Rose instead of '68 Clarke.
