eman7400 has the 54 Giants and the 34 Reds so far. His Giants squad gives him starters pretty much everywhere except c and 2b, one really good starter and several good relief options. The 34 Reds give him a good hitting catcher, a better 1b and more decent of options. They don't address his starting pitching needs.

I have chosen for him the 54 Senators. Still no 2b with Wayne Terwilliger and his .208 average. He gets another good 1b in Mickey Vernon and a couple more of in Jim Busby and Roy Sievers.
He gets 2 starters with 1.29 WHIPS and absolutely no bullpen help. Enjoy neighbor!

whalers10 get the 1944 Chicago White Sox.

None of the pitching is great but the cheapest option starts over $1,340,000.

You currently have decent 3B/OF hitters but need help on C.1B.2B. SS. Every single decent hitter on this team has a primary designation of 3B/OF, and only one of them is under $495k. I am a bit unclear how they won 71 games, but I doubt they will help you that much. I did give you a cheap SS unless someone daggers it, but the other cheap players (C, 3B) are redundant as well.

Eager to see how you play this one!

That 44 White Sox team may be the most punchless team of the live ball era. 23 homers As A Team! 10 by one guy (Hal Trosky) but he hit .240. Couple of decent pitchers and a great defensive option for c.f., but other than that a big box of turds. Well played ermocito!

So this round I get ermocito. In looking at his team, he has players who consist of the ’64 White Sox and ’74 Padres. That gives him good SP’s (almost the entire staff), maybe 1 or 2 RP’s, a 3B and SS a little on the high priced side, and probably some platoonish players from SD at C, 1B, 3B, and OF. At $80M, it’ll be tough to get more than one $6M player on offense, especially with platoons.

So, with that said, I introduce the 1944 Brooklyn Dodgers. A couple of +6M OFs who can hit. An infield that can’t field, and only one possible RP. Not a horrible team but you’ll certainly have to make some tough ugly choices. Enjoy!

BeAllEndAll has the 1964 Dodgers which provide a couple of great but expensive starters and a couple of serviceable relievers. On offense they have a good catcher, serviceable OF and SS. They were gifted the 1924 Braves who provided them no help on offense and a only a couple of pitching options.

This team is going to struggle on offense. They have no good useable player at 1B, 2B, or 3B. They have cheap pitching subs that might help make the expensive starters more manageable. Their have no cheap subs at 1B, 2B, or SS.

So...my gift to you is the 1974 San Francisco Giants
They provide you no good options at 1B, 2B, or 3B. You get a couple of decent OF but not real upgrades and poor defense. You get no cheap subs on offense. You do get another expensive but good starter in Barr. Enjoy....

One of the true aces of early baseball, Jeff Pfeffer had a rough start to the 1924 season at age 36. If he knew what WHIP was, he would have been appalled at his own 1.69. The Cardinals were nice enough to release Jeff, and he hooked on with the Pirates and pitched much better for them compiling a much more respectable 1.47 WHIP in 63 innings.

So farley gets both Jeff Pfeffers, but sadly can only roster one of the grizzled old veteran.

Well, I see farley has a theme going with 1924 National League teams so who am I to mess it up.

The highlights of this team are the team's leading home run hitter, second baseman Cotton Tierney, and RBI leader first baseman Stuffy McInnis.

The brains of the outfit is the old perfessor hisself, who led the assault on the bases stealing 13.

Farley, please welcome Casey Stengel and his 1924 Boston Braves..
I think they're already off the board.

well crap, sorry

Back to the drawing board.

Well that's too bad I missed that because the next team on the list is way better than the Braves were.

Farley, you'll seriously be thrilled when you see the 54 Pirates.

They give you some very useful players but they were the worst match I could find for you.
54 Pirates are also off the board (back in Rd 2). Guess again.

Sorry farley. Not trying to screw with you. Back to the drawing board.

1924 Philadelphia A's

Sorry to hold everyone up.
