I will grab my starting 3B. Boudreau isn't that bad of a catcher.

Frank Baker
I was hoping Boudreau would fall to me. I was forced to give up a lefty or a 4th OF with range. Bernie Williams was on my radar. You can't always get everything...

20 owners already entered. I have not been commissioner of a lot of leagues and there is one team, at least, with a cumulative salary of over $255mm. I was not expecting that and have a ticket working with WIS support to change the league cap from the default max to unlimited, if possible.

I really appreciate the comments and suggestions for maybe running this back again in the future with some modifications.

In addition to a possible salary cap and/or how the clone amount designation per round may be altered or floating, I want to throw this out for consideration. Everything about the mechanics from this draft stays the same except any player that was selected in this version would be blacklisted for version 2. Since this was only 9 rounds of players, there would still be a healthy player pool remaining.

Yikes! That would indirectly lower the cap quite a bit. Not many *good* $10+ million dollar players left.

In this version, I am looking forward to see how the NL East and AL West does overall, to see if it was better to draft at the top or the bottom.

The only danger I see in a salary cap is someone drafting might draft themselves over the cap with picks remaining. They could have a situation where they cannot accommodate the roster into the draft center. It could become messy.

You could blacklist MVP, Cy Young Award, Fireman, batting champ, ERA champ, something like that...it wouldn't need to be a laundry list of players each season...

I don't see this. If somebody is at risk at going over the cap, then simply downgrade a few players they had slotted in. (i.e., maybe drop '95 Maddux for 92 Maddux.)
