Trump issued a directive to fill the SPR to full capacity. It had 670 million out of a possible 770. The Energy Department did not carry out the directive. In fact the SPR declined a bit.

Part of what Biden has done was to help stabilize oil prices in Europe as supply chains were in tatters. Russia anyone.

We could throw trillions of dollars at the planet and not have a clue as to how to know if/what the impact would be. We can't get close on defining what the tropical depression in the Caribbean will do in the next 72 hours, but we can predict out 50 years? Poor Greta has been hoodwinked... Cleaning it up, and putting people into a panic over it need to be addressed. Idiots like Gore and Kerry don't have a plan to fix it. They only know how to rob people of their money and sanity. Like climate change is something new on this 4.5 billion years old rock...
We can measure how hot the global temperature is and we can measure ice caps. We know that the global temperature has been spiking and ice caps melting faster than at any other point in recorded history. That's just a fact that we can measure. We also know that the spike began around the industrial revolution and can prove that CO2 increases the greenhouse effect.

What I want you to do is either explain the conspiracy or give an alternative explanation for the temperature spike.

Never mind. He can't do that! Nor does anyone have the capacity to explain how come the millions of combustible engines now spewing globally does NOT make any difference in our atmosphere when for 1000's and 1000's of years there were exactly NONE!!! NADA. Not one single combustible engine spewing exhaust. Nary a one. Until?? What, the 20th century??

But it couldn't be those millions of engines and ALL the other effects us humans have caused over the years.
Nope, not us. It's just a natural occurrence.

Hey Doc, try telling that to your grandkids when they're having trouble living comfortably like YOU (and I) did...........back when we didn't give a damn about what we were doing to their future environment.

You really that much of a selfish short-sighted, ignorant S.O.B.???
Cause that's what they'll think of YOU!

The sad thing is that reactionaries in 20 years are going to be blaming migrants displaced by climate change for trying to immigrate here. It's ironic but trying to prevent the worst effects of climate change would mean significantly fewer refugees.

It amazes me how people that have no scientific background are repulsed by a consensus of at least 99% of scientists in the weather and climate and environmental fields all over the world.

Sure one can find someone saying no because they get a rise out of it.

The anti science bunch and they are probably mostly or almost all maga republicans
do not trust science because they feel insecure about their own uneducated background.
It makes them feel good to repudiate the hated scientists…those know it alls.
So they claim that their common sense is just what the scientists are missing.

I am not trying to psycho analyze anyone but it explains to me the glorification of a lack of education and pretending to be superior to the science community.

99% eh? Show me the numbers. There are tens otf thousands who agree this is a hoax, and a political pawn. The Global warmingi-sts are too scared to publicaly debate with them, Mainly because they know they will lose

The universities are no longer places where people get educated, but they get indoctrinated.

One guy who knows this is a hoax is the guy who owns the Weather channel. Ya think he might have a clue or two?

Like I said - you can find a kook here and there. The guy you mention was a co founder of the weather channel who had not been a meteorologist for over 30 years.
He is deceased and died from air pollution
inhalation.

You are proving my point about education and attitudes toward college educated people from Maga supporters who are by and large usually not educated and carry a chip on their shoulder about it.

Trump has referred to his base as poorly educated. He says I love the poorly educated.
He has also called them the great uneducated.

There is a BIG difference between ignorant and willfully stupid!

I can have sympathy for the former. I have absolutely NONE for the latter, no matter their color, creed, or locale.

It seems to me that a very large portion of MAGA are not equipped to be willfully stupid
because they have been ignorant their entire life. Sure there were a few educated people that stormed the capitol that fateful day but IMO the great majority of the masses huddled together on such a winter’s day were what are often referred to - rightfully or wrongfully - as white trash.

In keeping with that moniker they were gleefully drooling and had snot running down their nose and not to forget the dumb lobotomized smile of residents of a sanitarium due in part to their infections of Trump syndrome.

I can only assume that every conservative who lives in or owns property in the state of Florida will not want one penny of federal money in the wake of hurricane Ian. Surely they will pay out of their own pockets for the cost of rebuilding their state. No FEMA aid, no bailouts of the insurance companies that won't be able to pay all the claims, no federal dollars to rebuild roads, bridges, ports, waterways. I'm sure the state can cover all of that through private spending, private donations from local residents, and their state income tax, right? Oh wait, Florida has no state income tax...

Maybe they can hire immigrant laborers to help with the rebuilding. Oh wait, Florida hates immigrants...

And so it goes. Conservatives hate socialism of course. Until they need it.

I do believe that contrarian just performed ye olde shitstomping of the conservative base in Florida. Biden approved all of the aid possible for Florida 5 days ago and the idiot governor down yonder still can't even muster the sack to call him the President.

Remember Hurricane Sandy Ron? Remember how you voted?

Yup, right on cue, DeScumbag is begging for federal assistance. The price of being a conservative in America today is the complete surrender of any shred of integrity, morality, and critical thinking faculties.
